Are you Superstitious by nature? do you believe in omens ?

I have noticed that many people are superstitious by nature.Even in everyday life they tend to follow many of these beliefs like not going out if a black cat crosses one's path and if someone sneezes once it is considered a bad omen and so on ..Do you have any such beliefs? I have no such beliefs , but when my elders or other relatives and friends try and discourage me regarding certain things and when i go ahead and do it and if by chance it fails then i get criticised for not believed. I feel there is no rationality behind these beliefs? what are your views friends ?
