My daughter has just transferred from the local school to an online school. We are very excited about it. Daughter has medical problems and I think that this will work out much better for her. She is in the 9th grade and is a good student. She is especially excited to be taking an elective in photography. They are supplying her with a laptop. It should be coming in the mail any day now. Anyone else doing this? Wish us luck.

I think that's just wonderful! If she can do schooling at home (for whatever reason) she can work at her own pace and not be bothered by the distractions of the classroom. It is also a great advantage that they are supplying her with a laptop. What an opportunity this is... I wish her BEST OF LUCK! XOXO

I'm disabled and I am planning to go back to school, at least part time. I'm hoping that I can do a majority of my classes online as well. If I have to go the campus once a week, that won't be too hard. I've had so many friends to encorage me to do this and I finally took the 1st step earlier this week. I know that Voc Rehab will help to supply me with some of the things I will need so, that takes a big weight off my shoulders. I know your daughter is excited about getting the laptop. That's one thing that is definitly needed. Luckily, I was given a laptop for Christmas because my family thought that if I had one then I couldn't come up with any more excuses...and they were right...lol DCMerkle

Not exactly like this, but I have taken online courses with my college. I've taken about four of them. I actually prefer online classes to attending classs in person. It makes it easier to submit work and imo makes it easier to learn the lessons and do the work when it's best for you. I really wish more of my classes were offered online.
