I have a friend who goes home and sits at night and writes down all that he did all day. He has been doign this for the past 15 years. he has preserved all his diaries and can go back and tell you exactly when he did what. Do any of you have the habit of writing a diary? How faithful are you in recording the events of the day?

I used to have a diary when I was in high school. I usually start recording events faithfully for at least a week then suddenly stop. I just start feeling lazy writing things down. Although having a journal is really good. Being able to refer to things that happen years back is cool! Imagine reading about something that happened in your life that you don't remember at all. Sounds good isn't it?

There have been a couple of times in my life when I have kept a "diary" or journal. Usually I was having a tough time and just felt like I had things I needed to get out of me, and since I didn't really feel like talking about it to anyone, I used pen and paper. I've never been particularly faithful to keeping up with writing in these journals. Usually once things calm down, I put it to the side. It is interesting when I stumble upon them though, seeing how I was at different points in life. I've never done just an activity log, there has always been more of am emotional context to my writing.

Hello mercuryman3a! I do have a diary with me but I haven't updated it since last year. So, I can say I am not really faithful in recording events daily.

hi during my early 20's i used to keep a diary wherein i write all that happens to me for the day. as time goes i find it weird to write everything that happens so i stopped. what i did is i am writing my prayers that serve as a diary but more on of prayers and praises to God. now i am more particular on writing my schedule and future activities that will serve as reminders for me. nice discussion i marked it positive.

I am having the habit of writing the dairy of whatever had happened during the day and not only that i am also maintaining a dairy for the daily expenses from jan 1 2009 in order to reduce the amount which i spend unnecessarily. I hope that everyone will maintain a dairy for daily expenses.

I am keeping a sort of journal but I don't write on it everyday. I just write whenever I feel like writing and most of the times, the intervals is months apart. When I was younger, I really tried keeping a diary when it was all the fad but I just can't seem to feel like writing on it everyday. HOwever, there are days that I feeling like writing and that's the only time that I write. I just don't force myself and write. It's only when the mood takes me.
