How will you spend $10 if you get it on road ???

I was just browsing through favorite videos of a friend in orkut & i saw this video. The video consists of interviews of people from all strata of the society who are asked on how will they spend 500 rupees (approximately $10) if they get it from the road. The 1st one was a guy who told that he will use it to have a haircut in some saloon & the last one was a child who said he would use it to pay his school fees. It put me in to some thought about different thought of different people of the society.
What about you ?? How are you going to spend if you get the money on road ??

Usually, if I saw money on the road and no one claims it even after I ask around, I put it in one of the donation cans of a nearby fastfood chain or store. Most of the time, stores here are sponsoring certain charities and even if I cannot help with my own money at times, this money on the road or sidewalk would definitely help them out.

i agree with you, bubblyapple that, that gesture of yours about the money that you have picked on the road, is one way of helping others who are in need.
that money will surely go a long, long way.

I appreciate the thought bubblyapple. We should not claim upon something that we know is not ours. We don't have any donation cans here in our country on road,but definitely there are some in the temples. I usually drop it over there. I still am not sure of my actions if i get some huge amount of money. what do you think ?? how are you going to react ??

Ha Haa! I'll reach a good restaurant, call one of my friends and we shall shall have good dishes! Is there anything more entertaining than nice dishes? 
Perhaps you will sure appreciate this idea more, if I call you to the restaurant table after I get $10 (500INR) from a road! Let me see Udit, if I ever find such a sum of rupees on the road. Thanks for this nice posting and have a good day!

I appreciate your idea. On my personal front ,i think investment on food is oneof the most fitting expenditure of money. I spend most of my money that way. But for some money,which i found on a road i would have a different plan. I may spend it on some charity or on some religious thing. Thank you for responding. have a nice day at mylot.

Like any other type of money that I receive if it came my way, i'd split it in two.
I'd use the $5 dollars for my bus fare, and since riding the city bus costs $.50 cents a ticket each time (one of the two buses I ride; the other one's free to ride), that'd equal to 10 tickets.
The other $5 dollars I would use to order myself something to eat for a dollar at either McDonalds, Burger King or Wendy's. I can't do things on an empty stomach though!

I don't know. If I really come across the 10-dollars, maybe I will act different, but normally I think that I will use only what I deserve. The $10 certainly belongs to someone, whoever he is. That's not me. So I don't deserve it. I think I will "donate" it....(well I cannot donate something not belongs to me, right? I just don't want to be responsible of the money.

that is some noble thought to put down. That way you don't take the responsibility of the money you found on road. That apart,the money got used in some better way. I would always protest unnecessary expenditure. thank you for responding. have a nice time at mylot. happy posting wishes for you.

I'll keep it for sure. i tend to save money if it's small and spend it if it's big. That way, I can still save a little right? Like if I had a thousand dollars I'll buy ice cream and have a lot more left for next time. but if I had only $10 and if I buy ice cream then I would have very little left. I know that some people want to buy different things depending on their money. like if you had $10 you'd buy ice cream but if you had a thousand, you'll buy a diamond ring. But it just isn't that way with me. I'd still buy an ice cream...

well saving the money is not a bad idea after all. but i have heard that money u get from such sources are very fickle in nature & tend to loose away very soon. So you should be very careful in saving them.i hear we spend the money the way we get it. thank you for responding. have a nice time in mylot.

i will never get to spend that ten dollar bill that i have seen on the road. this is because, i will never pick it up.
my parents have given me this value since childhood. that is, never to take hold of money that is not mine. i might pick up those coins that lie on the road because i know that most of them are there since, some people just don't bother to pick up coins that fall from their pockets and wallets.
i place the coins though in a separate container at home. we might use it to cover minute expenses but, usually they don't get touched at all.

If I found $10.00 on the road, and couldn't find its owner, I would put it in my purse and think of it as a gift from God. I think that often times he puts things in places intending them to be found by someone in need. If I don't think I'm in need that moment, I wait, and sure enough a time comes when I need the cash.

Well if I find money I keep it lol. Anyway I am not sure what I would buy with the 10 bucks I guess it would depend on a lot of things, like at the time. If I needed food then I would buy some. I also have the bad habit of smoking so I feel I would probabley get a pack of smokes as well. Like I said it all depends on what I would need. I know it might sound wrong if I took the money but finders keepers I guess, lol. Happy mylotting to you and have a great day!

well i am not going to spend that money i found on road becasue i will not pick it up .... this will be illegal for me , i never earned it...
i'll see if there is someone around you think possibly has had this note dropped from his pocket... if not then if i pick it up, it will goto charity or something but will not get used by me for personal shopping.
