Did you know that if you mix a little baking soda with your shampoo, once a week, it will remove all the build up of products and help keep your hair looking and feeling healthy? Yup! I was told this by a hair stylist - she swears by it - so I tried it and my hair feels awesome. If you have hard water, it helps to ease the damage it has done on your hair. Any little tricks you have learned to help keep your hair healthy? Share them here!

hi heavenunaware! well that is a great discovery alright. i think baking soda is a very good product and yeah, i think it is logical that it will benefit the hair. it also balances the pH on the scalp for that matter, so you are not prone to dandruff. personally, i use baking soda for my feet. it is a good foot soak. after a 15 minute soak, the calluses come off easily when you scrub. and makes the feet look whiter afterwards as well. i think that baking soda is an awesome product. it can also be used to clean stains and remove odors in containers. thank for sharing your personal beauty trick. thanks and God bless you1 :-) happy mylotting!

I have never heard of that, but it sounds quite interesting. I will investigate. Does it work on all hair types?

Thanks for sharing this with all of us. I have never heard of that or tried it before. I will try it some time if my hair gets stuff built up on it. We have very hard water where we live. I always just use shampoo and conditoner on my hair and sometimes a hot oil treatment every do often if it becomes dried out.
