That is clothes that have been worn by other persons that they may have outgrown or dont need anymore or would you feel weird to wear something that has been on another persons body ?Would you consider the fashion of the clothes you were given or that wouldnt be a problem ?.What if someone was giving you only the clothes that were out of fashion ,would you accept on the grounds that its the gesture that counts ? Give your answer and give reasons why you would or wouldnt ?

I do wear hand me downs. Just this morning I wore a suit to church that my mother-in-law gave me after she had lost weight and couldn't wear it anymore. It is a very classic style so it isn't out of fashion. If I like it I will wear it.

I do wear hand me downs from our kids. I am home alot lately and there is no point in worrying about fashion when it's just me at home with the dog. He doesn't seem to care..lol I have an old raincoat that I'll wear in the spring that belonged to one of our kids and it looks brand new. I don't shop at second hand stores just because I don't like to shop. When we are going out with my husband's office staff or at a party, I need to be presentable and wouldn't feel comfortable wearing used clothing.

Well I suppose based on your situation it wouldnt be wise to invest in clothing that is too expensive for your dog.I didnt know though that there were stores dedicate dto selling second hand clothes ,I thought those were just passed down from one generation to the next or from friend to friend .

I have no problem wearing hand-me-down or used clothes. In fact I prefer it. I am by no means fashion conscious. I hate to spend money on a name. I do most of my shopping at second hand stores anyways. I just want to have clothes to wear. I mostly wear t-shirts, jeans and shorts anyways, so as long as I like the colors, I don't care if someone else wore them.

Wow that is the first that I am hearing that there are persons who prefer hand me downs to original clothes .I suppose though that in your case it would make more sense to go for hand me downs since you ate not fashion conscious .

I have children and I mostly have hand me downs because I buy them the new clothes. I recently went inside ross and they were selling suits for $4.99 and $2.49. So I recently got brand new clothes because they were quality at thrift shop prices. I get some clothes from freecycle and a place here where I live that gives away free clothes. I do it so that my children can have decent clothes. It is ok for me to wear used clothes. It does not bother me one bit. I do not wear used underwear or used shoes.

When I was growing up, this was something all 5 of us kids did. Things were tight back then and it was completely normal. It didn't matter if it was in style or not because we were always in and out of each others clothes. My sister and I now regularly swap clothes. She has 3 boys and 1 girl and I have 2 girls and 2 boys so it all evens out eventually. I think it's a nice thought when someone thinks of me enough to give me clothing that doesn't fit, or work for them anymore. Especially family members. It makes me feel loved to be honest and that's something that is hard to come by.

i have worn hand me downs and i do not see anything wrong with it. if they are in good, wearable condition then i would really be appreciative. if there were some things that i felt i did not like or would not wear i would just pass them on to someone else or put them in the collection bin for the red cross or something similar. i use hand me downs as play clothes for my son so he does not ruin his school clothes. they are a great way to save money and it is a way to get more use out of things that still have life left in them. why waste things that are perfectly good?

I wear hand me downs because I am not that crazy about fashion and will wear whatever I like; whether it's in style or not. So if I run into something that's second hand and in a good state, I will buy it. I see nothing wrong with clothing that has been worn before if you give it a proper wash and there are no holes or damages to the clothing. Re-using clothing is also better for the environment and most of the time second hand shops give their full earnings to charity. When you buy something in a store it might have been tried on a million times before too, I wonder if people ever think of that?

I have worn hand-me-downs. If the clothes are out of fashion, I might pass them on to someone who can make use of them. Some clothes can be altered so they are more up-to-date. I go to the thrift shops to find some clothes. This can be a lot of fun when I want to put a costume together for an event. Sometimes it is hard to find the older fashions, so then I have to find a pattern and some material. I can then sew the outfit I want.

Most of what I own are hand me down's. I don't have a problem wearing them at all. I rarely have the extra money to buy new clothes, so I gladly take what others are giving away. Nine times out of ten, these items look like they've never been worn. So, that works to my benefit.

Yes, I would wear hand me downs.. Just as long as they are washed double times.. I will wash them in hot water and suds.. If they are torn, I will not wear them..I will only wear them when they look decent and not run down.. I would wear them because I may need something new to wear. If the clothes were out of fashion, I will just donate the clothing to a thrift store, such as The Salvation Army..

I tell you what the first time I went shopping for my little black dress-the ultimate must have for a woman's wardrobe and could not find something under $60....for a LBD? Yeah I started looking at the thrift stores and maybe I didn't find my LBD but I sure did find other things. ANd the thing about fashion is no matter what season it is or year you can adpat just about anything piece of clothing you buy. Like last year or so, most of the late '80s and '90s stuff was popular. Here are some tips on getting hand me downs that are classics that will never go out of style: 1.the little black dress (of course) does not matter what style it is...it works 2. nice fitting jeans (preferably anything but straigh cut) 3. a tailored white shirt (long sleeved or 3/4 length) 4. black skirt 5. nice pair of black pants Anything else you can get the accentuate them works depending on the season, but if you have these pieces you are set for each season year round.

I would definately wear hand me downs. And I have on many occasions. I buy second hand clothes for my kids as well. I do not have the money to be able to buy my kids all of these new clothes. I try to make sure though that my kids get some in fashion clothes so that they are not teased at school. But for me it does not matter so much as to whether I am in style or not.

Most of the time I buy from resale shops. Waste not, want not. Except for shoes. That I don't have a choice on. Those HAVE to be new to do any good. Once you wash the clothing, what does it matter? If they're out of fashion, but they fit just fine, I don't have a problem with it. It also depends on what cloth they are. Some of those fancier clothes are so itchy, what's the point of taking them? they're going to go to a Goodwill or somewhere else right off. I have it easy. I'm a t-shirt, jeans kind of girl myself. Ya can't go wrong there!

I don't mind. My sister and I are the same size and when she decides she doesn't want some of her clothes anymore she gives them to me. What's in fashion and whats not doesn't phase me. It all depends on if I like it and if i think it looks good on me, because nowadays a lot of styles of clothing come back into style again.

I would wear clothes given to me by someone else. In fact I have before. As long as they have been washed there is nothing wrong with it. I would never wear under garments but jeans and shirts are alright. I don't really worry about what's in fashion. Instead I focus on what I like.

hi ronnyb...sure i will wear one..but it so happen that im the only girl in the family..that during my younger years it didn't happened..but i like the idea of it...and of course depending on who will give me ..if its out fashion? well i guess i had to tell her that i don't like the style in a nice way so that she will not be hurt...its better to be frank and direct rather than not...

ok I'll take your questions in order ... That is clothes that have been worn by other persons that they may have outgrown or dont need anymore or would you feel weird to wear something that has been on another persons body? I would because you can just wash it before you wear it. It's not a big deal. Would you consider the fashion of the clothes you were given or that wouldnt be a problem? It wouldn't be a problem because jean are just jeans and if they were shirts and tops then the really out of style ones can be worn around the house while the one that are in style can be worn out. It cuts out the using the good clothes for work around the house and outside. What if someone was giving you only the clothes that were out of fashion, would you accept on the grounds that its the gesture that counts? Ultimately it doesn't matter because you can always find a purpose for clothes honestly. LOL!! I have would accept them on the grounds that I needed them if I needed them .. What is that saying beggers can't be chosers. But to be honest fashion is kinda funny because it always decides to bring stuff back...

I really don't mind wearing hand me down clothes especially those ones that are really nice and they really look new. At times I even go to second hand stores to but second hand clothes for they are cheaper that buying the new ones and there are a lot of branded stuff on those kinds of store. I just make sure that I wash it well before i wore it.

I accept what is offered and pick out whatever I like. Also, I buy good clothes on 'yardsales'. Why not? If it's still good as new. It save me a great amount of money, and I'm just a single mom, so... I also buy a lot of clothes when they're on sale. I have no problems with that.
