I mean there are different kinds of horror. Realistic with psycho killers and freaks lurking for his victims or supernatural with all those monsters, vampires and so on. Don't you think that horror books or movies are too often just tales of adventure with fantastic or spooky elements? I personally prefer psychological horror which avoids presenting violence but rather instigates fear by painting uncanny images and provoking strange and weird thoughts. That's why I like Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft and Thomas Ligotti and many more.

I never like horror. Whether it is in real life or reel life, I don't like it. I love people with humor sense and watch movies of humor theme. Recently I watched Shrek1 and Shrek2 for atleast 30 times (in a week time). Myself and my 20 months old son kept enjoying it, especially the donkey character.

I like Stephen King, no doubt. I rather go for both, I love books about psycho killers going around killing people and scaring the living shi*** out of them. I also like a good story about monsters-- take the case of IT, that clown was scary for many kids back in the day, now, the story doesn't seem so scary but when it first came out, it really was.

Yup, I prefer psychological horror - the evil that man can do! It's scarier than vampires or aliens! My favorite horror stories are those collections by Alfred Hitchcock - but they're rather difficult to find nowadays.

I have never heard about Thomas Ligotti, but I like the stories by Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft. I don't like a lot blood and violence, but I really like psychological horror stories or films. I also like ghost stories, I have read a lot of them especially when I was a bit younger. I already mentioned Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft, but I also like Anthony Horowitz, Kenneth Ireland and Dennis Jürgensen. I loved the books by Kenneth Ireland when I was a teenager, and I still think that he is a good writer. I have started to write horror stories myself, but I didn't get very far yet.

I really like the zombie kind of movies but they need to have a strong storyline only then do I like them fully. Like I enjoyed the movie 28 weeks later a lot! Then I like the exorcism horror that is one of the best type of horror movies I feel. Horror is really on of my most favorite kind of genre.
