hi, i just wanted to ask a question about the internet. is there a place or something where you can pay for the time you use the internet instead of monthly payments? you know what i mean? like phones, instead of paying monthly for calls, you can buy a pre-paid card only pay depending on the minute it gives you? can you do something like that to the internet? insteat of monthly payments, you can only pay depending of the time it gives you? and you can use it anywhere even without a router?thanks

well, my first question is what's your location right now.here in our place, there are available kits that just need a prepaid load and voila you can have it anywhere and anytime you want. i do usually just spend 2 hours a day in the net with no fuss of monthly bills for only a dollar.

In the UK,we had dialup providers that would be taking payment according to the length of time you were connected on the phoneline..there were no contracts or equipment required, your computer's modem just needed a cable to the phone socket..This may still be availailable, but I've been on broadband for a few years now..there MAY be broadband providers out there offering this, but have never used it so am not sure..Doing a search for provider services local to You would be best..Wireless broadband was mentioned by other responders..as far as I know, those are only available (In the UK,anyway!) on contract, not pay as you go.. perhaps something like wifi connectivity vouchers would meet your needs..you buy a scratchcard from a place with a wifi network, enter the card code on the network homepage, and get a block of online time ranging say from 30 minutes up to a week, depending on cost..

I think you must apply for a prepaid internet connection, which you may use a prepaid card, only the time you used is the one that will be deducted to your prepaid load.

Hi oofear, The only place that I can think of is an internet cafeteria. However it is inconvenient to go to an internet cafeteria each time that you need to use the internet. At least if such service that you have described exists it has not arrived in my country. There are ISP which provide like a dongle and you can attach it to your laptop or desktop and can have internet service wherever you are. (c) ronaldinu 2009

you know what I am not too sure if there is an internet company that does that. But it would be a good one to be on,why pay allot of money for internet when maybe you only use it a few hours a week.
