Eagles are back

Our Spring pair of Bald Eagles showed up today, they come each Spring, raise a family then are gone by June. I don't know where they go for the summer. We have to be alert about the house and barn cats while they are here, they can and do eat cats when they can catch them. We are pretty well closed in and don't have good landing areas for them so unless the cats are out hunt in the fields they are safe here.

How wonderful to have eagles for neighbours. I hope they leave your cats alone though. here the largest visitors to our garden are pigeons, but mostly we just get blackbirds, starlings and sparrows, which wouldn't last very long with eagles around.

we got an eagle,when some miscreants broke its wing and it landed at our place. we had to keep him in an enclosure ,as it was very wild and its beak was sharp.

You're into Spring already?!!!! I am SOOOOOOOOOO jealous! Spring here is a long long way off yet. We get snow in JUNE for crying out loud! But I do have to say, our Bald Eagles are here all year round.....
