Recently I clicked on a mylot user who has been a member for over three years. I have checked on the started discussions and I noticed that the user did not post more than a handful! It seems that this particular users prefers replying than starting a new discussion. Do you prefer replying or starting a new discussion? i like doing both.. i have more fun in making them since they would be something im more interested in but some times its a pain to think of something to make.. i like replying but some times thats annoying since a lot of people just post the same topics over and over again and there is nothing new to interest me

Replying is a lot more convenient, easy and interesting than starting your own. I find more to reply than to come up with my own idea. Not that I am imagination less but my discussions die prematurely in m head before they could make to comp! I just filter them out due to this and that. You found ME? ...hmm I am not so old yet.

In fact I like to start a new discussion rather than replying to others' discussions. However, it's too hard to think out a good topic. This is why I still have to respond to people's discussions. I love China

Replying doesn't take as much time as making a discusion. Any disscussin can dry out as quick as rain. I rather make a discussion when i really need something to be replyed to.

Yes Ronal, I always prefer to start new discusion on a new topic. But I do it less as interesting topics are few in number and thus I send more response than raising a new discussion! Thanks for this nice posting and have a good day!

Aha...ronaldinu...I think this is me that you are referring to! I do not start many discussions, because I get so few replies. So that tells me that I do NOT start good discussions...so it is best NOT to start them! Quite often, when I am out and about, and think I have stumbled upon a good topic...I will find that it has recently been discussed! Never thought of myself as a follower before, but I guess that I am. Cheers!

HI pergammano. I had another user in mind. This particular mylotter only posted three discussions in the whole three years. I was so amazed. I don't think that your discussions are bad. You post quality discussions. Its funny how things work here. Sometimes I start a discussion about a trivial subject and replies keeps going in. BTW...the tiling job has been finished.

Thank you for the vote of confidence, my friend! Just seems that a lot of my thots are not originals....and I hate to beat of the same topics...like "how did you get your user name?" I think that I have been vindicated over my "kafuffle" here last week! I feel soooo much better! My star has been restored, as well as my earnings! I spent over an hour last nite (early) reading about your wonderful country, your politics, your weather....and to find that you/your country faces the same dilemna this small Island I live on faces...a "severe shortage" of potable water! And that a lot of your potable water comes from "desalinization!" Originally we had two forms of retreiving salt water here, "desalinization" and "reverse osmosis"...and both have been banned, as the end product was being returned to the Ocean, and therefore compromising the salinity, and destroying the habitats of "sealife!" I am glad your tiling is finished, FINALLY! Do remember to "seal" the grout, BUT give it at least "10 days" to "off gas." And it is a good plan, to make it an annual event! Have a great week!

I actually prefer replying to discussions rather than starting ones of my own. I like seeing what other people think on the other discussions, and many times I don't think I can come up with something that others would want to talk about.

Well, I know that you get more money for starting a new discussion, but, I still prefer replying. Heck! The few discussions I've started only a smattering few have replied........*sniff* *sniff* :( I'm in no hurry to make the big bucks. I belong to so many other websites where I can get money for posting anyway. The more people I meet the more I love my cat :) Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

I much prefer to reply to a discussion than to make my own if I'm being honest. I just think I'd rather join in with someone elses discussion than make my own, unless I have a lot to say.

I prefer to respond to discussions rather than starting them. Most times it is just because I can never think of anything to start and then when I finally do I get disappointed when it doesn't get much for responses. Some days I do try to start new ones though just to do something different than my norm.

I prefer to reply to discussions myself, I don't start very many, if you checked my profile you would see that I've only started a handful too. I don't know why I don't start any, I can't ever think of anything interesting to write about, so I just go and look for discussions that interest me, and I reply to them.

At first I loved starting discussions. I hate to have my discussions deleted and that has happen to me and I am sure it has happen to many other users here. Now I just mostly reply to discussions, I don't even reply that much anymore either. I just come in and do about 3 to 5 responses and leave.

I have answered more than 7 times than the number of discussions I started. So that makes me a "replier" I guess. Probably because many of the things I want to ask or be discussed were already started so I only read along and add something to the discussion if I have something worthwhile to say.

Well this question arose in my mind too. dont know much about it...but what i think is,starting new discussion is cool.because i dont think that we must use mylot for earning only... we must discuss something which you think may inform and help others in different aspects. so i think starting new discussion is good.
