you are not a lone but men lose weight faster then women for some reason if you just change a few thing you be in shape in no time.try to stay away from fried foods eat it grilled are baked are boiled it better for you try eating your meat and perparing it differently.it,s so much you can it.in fact if you eat meat and vegetable a lone without bread you will lose weight.bread is the cause which bread is in a lot of foods rice, some whole grain, not to mention eating to much sugar and sugar is in just about everything.

I've been using an "ab lounge" several times per week and I stopped snacking as much at night. I'm not going to do a complete lifestyle change over-night, or else I won't stick to the routine I want to be on. Eventually, I'll use the ab lounge daily and I'll stop eating unhealthy snacks at night. That's my goal because it worked in the past. I've gotten lazy.

It is said that stress can cause belly fat. I can testify to that, I am very stressed, and it seems that my belly fat is getting fatter. It is not too easy to remove belly fat either I think.. There are probably some exercises that can help, but I think belly fat is the hardest to lose. I will be following your discussion to see what if any advice others may have.

Well I will definitely be checking back to see what kind of answers you do get! I hope you get some good ones. Which reminds me I did do pulatees (spelling), target specifics before I got pregnant and it seemed to be working, but I haven't done them since I have had the baby. For some reason I always seemed to get a head ache when I was doing the excersises. But I was startingto feel it in my abs.

You do a thousand crunches a day. Seriously, you have to do a lot of exercise and can't take days off. Gaining weight is easier to do than losing weight. That's why so many people are overweight. I recommend giving up on every food you love and replace food happiness with something else.

I guess you can try drinking tea. tea helps burn fat. And exercising is really the best way to get rid of fat. Once you've lost some weight, you can try doing sit ups and ab exercises to give u cuts. it's really easier said than done. In theory, everything is so easy to do. But once you start exercising, ugh.

annjilena, The body is a funny thing, women usually store fat in their hips, arms and then their stomach. Men it is usually on their sides, love handles, and stomach. Now for the funny part, the body does not use the fat in the same order that it is stored. For me it is my stomach first, love handles second. But when i lose weight it starts in my legs, face and the last place is my stomach and then love handles. The main thing is your diet, then exercise. Stomach muscles can be used everyday, and like most with light weight and alot of movement they will tighten up, and seem as if they shrink, just more compact as the fat in the muscle itself is removed. You lose stomach fat the same way you lose fat anywhere else, diet and exercise. Now diet is a dirty word, mainly because we see it as restrictive, and unpleasurable. Diet here just means the food you eat. Make small, healthy changes, until those changes become a regular habit. Then make some more and so on and so forth. Exercise, make a time that is convient for you, and do it, just move, do something you like. If its hard to get motivated, get a workout buddy, or a video/DVD you can exercise with, make it a routine, a habit and soon you will not feel right if you don't exercise. Now be wary of fad diets and others that make claims, there programs is easy and fast, lose 30 lbs in 30 days are such. 1 to 1 and 1/2 lbs a week is a healthy amount to lose. Remember as you burn fat, what ever was stored in the fat will be released to the body. Hope this helps, doing anything is better than nothing, if you mess-up on your diet, or miss an exercise day, don't beat yourself up and stop, sometimes stuff happens. Understand why, plan ahead, forget it and go do it. Terry

What I can suggest is you may want to join Belly Dancing classes. I tell you, it's really a great way to lose those unwanted fats stored in your belly, increases metabolism and at the same time improving your body's flexibility as it strengthens, tones and tightens your abdominal muscles. It's really effective that according to studies, it can burn up to 300 calories per hour, depending on the intensity of your dancing. If you don't have time joining classes, you may want to purchase a copy Belly Dancing DVD and enjoy dancing with it while you're at home. And of course, along with this one form of exercise, you should also include proper diet, nutrition + discipline and determination.

spot reduction, or exercising just one body part to reduce fat in that area, is a myth. actually, i have written two articles in my blog which might help you (see them at http://ask-doc-alma.blogspot.com). one article is about spot reduction and why it will NEVER work; another article is on effective weight loss management (like did you know that eating breakfast helps you LOSE weight?). um anyway, for more of the tips, you may read the articles there. hope they help :)

There is no way to target fat reduce. The only way is to cut down you calorie intake and burn more with exercise. You could try targeted exercise such as situps and crunches to tone and tighten your muscle, but until the layer of fat is reduced with dieting, this wont be shown. Also up your water intake and try body brushing for a few mintues each day to release the toxins from your body, this will also help along the weightloss. Herbal tea, green in particular is also good for making the stomach feel smoother and flatter. Hope this helps

Hello annjilena, Actually I have some bulging belly too and I really fretted it because it made me difficult to breath at times.hehehe. So I researched some tips and luckily for me those tips really work. Here are some of those: 1. Exercise at least twice a day for about 30 minutes ( every morning and afternoon), do the body stretching and set-ups where it puts some pressure on your tummy, like reaching a certain object while standing up high enough for you to hold something above your head, then bend forward extending your arms until you feel your stomach is working. After these steps, lie flat on the floor (facing the floor)and do the push-ups. Then do the jumping for about 10 minutes. 2. While doing the above exercise, you have to eat only oatmeal (or any cereals) and fruits in the morning coupled with green tea with honey or lemon or fruit and vegetable juices. Please avoid fatty foods and sweets while you are aiming to trim your tummy. Take a low-fat or non-fat milk after exercising in the afternoon or any parts of the day. 3. Do not sit all day because this can only increase weights on your tummy, if you are working, you may stand up once in a while and go out in the lobby and walk. 4. Try to walk few miles in the morning and in the afternoon and avoid commuting as much as possible if your home is just a long distance. You may opted to climb stairs instead of elevators when you are in the shopping mall. 5. Do not drink too much soft drinks and coffee too (that's what I learned from the other people who successfully get rid of belly in their tummy), avoid heavy carbohydrates foods, cut your protein intake and load your tummy with plenty of water, fruit juices especially pineapple and grapes. Avoid junk foods and take dried fruits instead, the most ideal dried fruits to eat are prunes and plum, they are rich in antioxidants and very low in fats. These tips coupled with self-discipline can give you a sexier and flat tummy. Good luck!
