Some said "Honey" should be the best term of endearment as honey is meant to last long. Unfortunately, all those I called "honey" in the past, ended up as my exes. lol Those I called dear somewhat held on to the meaning of the term as it got more expensive to hold onto the relationship, expensive long distance calls, more sophisticated tastes, fine dinners, etc. So I dropped them and the term. I call my boyfriend now as "love" I'm hoping he could be my last, true love. What term of endearment do you use?

I call my bf of six years baby or babe for short. Sometimes I even forget his name cause I never use it, lol. I don't know how baby even started but its been like that for as long as I remember and we rarely ever call eachother anything else, sometimes a "sweety" gets in there. We have tried experimenting with different names but none of the others sounded right so we just stuck with baby. Until I get mad and then its a whole nother class of "pet names" lol

Hello nympha687! My husband and I called each other "honey" We've been using honey for 4 years now. We even used honey than using our names. It would be awkward if I will call him by his first name anymore. I even told him that you will know if I am angry if I will call you in your first name..hehehe.

well, I called him through his name once when I got angry

I think that's obvious, when you call a person by his complete name that means there's something you don't like about him. Good you don't call him names though. lol

My bf usually calls me "babe" or "love". I usually use "sweets" or "sweetie" or "Nicky". If I'm feeling raunchy, then I jokingly refer to him as "lover" and roll my r's. If I'm mad, then he's just plain "Nick."

Talk about the power of words. Mood suggests the kind of words we say and even the way we say it. loverrrrrrrrrrr. Nice!

hi nympha687! My husband and I call each other..sweety, titart (short of sweetheart) and bebe! But we do get to call each other by our real names when we are both irritated with each other. lol I do hope and pray that your "love" will be your one true love that will last forever. Take care and have a great day!

Mine w/ my ex before was Hon. Now am still using the same w/ my husband but it's HUN. We don't really mean it's honey or what but it's the term we're calling on each other and I like it because it's short.

Great! At least calling him would be effortless since the term is short.

Me and boyfriend doesn't have any specific endearment that we call each other. Although we have talked about this as we started the relationship but till now after more than a year of being together we two don't have something that we call each other. Though most of the times we call each other "bosing" that mean boss and some other names that we like calling one another. LOL. we are two crazy people.

We use different kinds of callings for each other. But the main ones is "ChimmyQh" and "ChammyQh". We would like our names to be unique that is why we uses "Chimmy" and "Chammy". The "Qh" is pronounced as "koh" - our local language which can vary in definition but we uses it as "my". Often times we uses "CjQh". "C" for "Chimmy/Chammy", and "J" for the first letter of our real names. We also uses common terms like "MahalQh" (which means My Love), "AsawaQh" (My Wife/Hubby), "XviQh" (My Sixteen - 16 written in Roman Numerals - our number), etc.

My bf and I use a variety of terms to make it fun, like him calling me schnookums and me calling him cutie-patootie, haha! It's more of an inside joke of who can think of a new term of endearment to use for a while when the usual "love" endearment gets a little monotonous. The sillier, the better. XD

I call him "babe" and he calls me "babe" or "my love" or "D". My name started with a D and I know when he says it, it's as a term of endearment from him. I just wanted to say that I miss him so much right now! He is a new truck driver and hasn't been home in a couple of weeks but is heading home now and should be here late tomorrow for one night. Yay!

We use "hey you" and "Moron" a lot! but when we are frisky it's not too unheard of for us to throw the really sweet words at each other like "booger head" and once.. just once.. "lard azz".. cause when he woke up, he figured out that I didn't care for that one much.

hi, we use also "Honey" or just simply "Hon" as endearment... Something sweet to our ears that's why we choose it.. So far no problem in our relationship since we're in BF-GF relationship. Now that were married with a 1-yr old son, everything goes right... I hope nothing change except for better one...

My boyfriend and I often use "babe" and "baby" with each other. He'll use "dear" on occasion, or "love" too, but we've really gotten into the habit of using babe and baby! In the past, I haven't really used terms of endearment or pet names with guys, because it always seemed too forced, or the person I was with didn't seem to fit the name... I'm in a comforatble groove now, though, it's kind of nice :)

Well there are several things my girlfriend and I call each other. The main one I use for her is sweety, she calls me hon or honey most of the time. We also have a few unique names, I call her panda and she calls me tiger. Among the names we use are a couple of odd inside jokes; we call each other 'pillow thief', 'mover', 'bonker', and 'blanket hog'; all obviously related to sharing a bed.
