Hello modstar! I remember my very first phone. It has antenna and that it's very big. Although cellphones are quiet expensive that time.
Right now, my phone doesn't have antenna at all. My old phone was broken already.

I've had my phone for a while now so, yes, it still has an antenna. I don't know if it does any good but it does entertain my granddaughter. She's one and likes to bite it and pull it out with her teeth, then push it back in and pull it out again.

First of all let me just say this: "All cellphones have antennas."
Some people think that their cellphones don't have antennas, but that is one of the most common mistakes some people make. Thinking their cellphones don't have antennas is silly. They just don't have VISIBLE antennas, but they do have it within the phone. Your cellphone wouldn't work without one!
Hahaha, my first cellphone was a Nokia 5110. It had this visible antenna and I HATED IT. Thankfully, it has been upgraded over the years and the last three cellphones that I had didn't have any "visible" antenna.

I remember like 10 years ago... my first and second cell phones had an antenna... then after that... i stated using antenna-less cell phones... and it has been a long time now since i have seen such a cell phone... i guess more people prefer the antenna-less... since that would mean a smaller cellphone that takes lesser space in the bag or pocket...

i think phones with antenna are called analog, and without antenna are called digital. i see some of the antenna-less phone have sensor attach to the frame itself... i think phone with antenna now a days are the wire less landline phones...

The cellphone that I have that has an antenna was my very first mobile phone that is motorola phone that came out of the market even before the nokia's 5110. After that first phone I never had a phone with the antenna. That is true there are still good phones with antenna nowadays but people prefer those that has a built-in ones. Nice topic.

My first ever phone was Nokia 8210, that was like in 2001. I was in 4th year HS. But I had an antenna phone when I was in College when my 8210 was broken, that I have no choice but to use my dad's back up phone the Nokia 6110. I was like, "hell no! I don't want to use this old school junk!" My mom, wouldn't buy me yet a new phone, because I failed a subject in school (don't ask! Lol), there, I got no choice but to use it. In school, most students are using the Nokia 6600, 3650, etc. (most students can afford these phones, I have studied in CSB money really wasn't an issue.. Anyway..) I always put it on a silent mode, so my blockmates wouldn't hear the original text message of nokia (standard mode) Lol But no matter how embarrassing it is for me, I felt a little guilty cuz I have used it for 2 months, and it was damn useful I tell you. Before I ditch it my mom bought me a Nokia 6600. It was funny back then! Lol

man my cell phones have not had an antenna for how long I do not know. I want to say at least 2 years. I feel that is really old school, most of the cells now are going off satialtes and with an antenna I am not sure you could even get a signal. But I guess there still might be some good ones out there. Happy mylotting and have a nice evening as well.

No, it doesn't but even so, it's still one of the oldest nokia models. 3315, but you can't underestimate its durability. LOL. The casing is pink which I hate so much but I had to deal with it because it was the only one with perfect fit.

The current cell phone that I am using is Nokia 3120 with no antenna. My first cell phone was nokia 5110 and it has an antenna. Mmmm...so far I have not seen new phones with antenna at my place. All I know is cell phones are becoming thinner and smaller and light weight.

Yes, my cell phone has an antenna. Not one of the extendable ones, but just a small antenna on my Samsung SCH-A850 that's a little less than 3 years old.
