I was wondering how many people play warcraft. Ive seen the graphics and its pretty good. Ive been playing runescape, which I think it sucks now and wasted alot of my time. Warcraft, you have to pay every month? I heard it has a great amount of people which is pretty amazing and how the Blizzard company is making all this money. I want to try it someday, but not sure if I should.

If I take a break, I enjoy it more later.

Right now I'm busy installing World of Warcraft myself! I'm not a new player, mind you, just doing a fresh install after not having played for about 5 months. I've got many good things to say about the game, however the install procedure itself is quite a bit time consuming, as you have to download all the latest patches which roughly amount to 3 gb of data. After having worked all week I was hoping to spend my Sunday playing the game but it seems I have dreamed in vain! When you do get on with the installing however, World of Warcraft has much to offer, whether you mean to play just a few hours weekly or choose to play it daily. The game is a very cinematic experience in the style of the Lord of the Rings and the world itself is quite a bit huge to explore. You do pay a monthly fee, but it pays off, from my perspective at least, as you can enjoy yourself in a variety of ways; be it fishing in beautiful lakes, engaging in player vs. player combat (aka PVP), exploring dangerous caves (aka instances), finishing quests or just adventuring in whichever way you feel at that moment. The game offers breathtaking visuals from lush forests to arctic scenery and the masterfully composed orchestral soundtrack just adds the necessary spices to make it one of the best games to play on the market today. Warning : It's addictive :)

I've heard they are about 12 mil.You have to pay for it,yes...but it's not a fortune.I payed like 20 maybe 25 euro for a 60days game card bought from a store. It's not that much, yet when you don't have that money...seems a family fortune :)) .The game is wonderful, and as written above...if you don't want a social life anymore, buy the game and start playing it.It's addictive, yes, but if I can manage not to play for a week or two,it means that it is addictive if you want it to get addictive. It's a fun game, relaxing to play, with a nice story. Run at the store, buy the game..(you get a free month anyway after registering),buy a gamecard, and join us on Kharazan realm heheh. If you are ambitious enough, you can play WOW and pay it with money made on mylot lol. Have a nice day :)

The number is currently at 11 million people playing I believe. Wow is probably the most fun and addicting game I've ever played simply because the list of things you can do is honestly never ending. Bored with PvP? do an instance. Bored with Instancing? Do some daily quests and get some gold. Bored with questing? Try and do some of the more fun achievement. Definitely a game worth picking up if you have a decent amount of time available for a specific game. Be warned though, it's highly addicting.

I play World of Warcraft and has been playing it since it started. I would say that it hooked me so much that I sometimes play 10-12 hours a day. But that was back then when raiding was as hard as hell. Now it's more casual and time-friendly. I'm still raiding but only to a maximum of 5 hours.
