With a slip of the tongue and a burp of the brain, I bring you........

.....the response to a challenge made to me by one of our own here (who truly believes she is SO clever!LOL), wherein I would write a piece using synonyms for ordinary words. The words in bold letters replace more pedestrian ones and the words in brackets have been added to make sense of the ones in bold lettering......!I will not hold it against you if you can't follow what I've written. Frankly, I know that I'll have a hard time myself! So. My little piece of flash fiction:"I aroused (myself) to a sudden winkle of pain, precipitating down upon the left side of my monomorphemic neck. For a microcosm(of time) I actually smirked at the beauteous winkles of (a colourful)luminosity, drifting down and morphing (to) ash when the heat left them, the residue remaining simply (an)implanted boring ache of query and (a)boo!. I lifted my noggin and screamed pointedly at the second pentrating thrust into the tender epidermis of my neck. In that dusky moment betwixt awareness and unliving the profile of the chiroptera that orthodonicly dined (on)me unwrapped it's chalcoptera and slipped stealthily from my exterminatedvision..........."Take THAT, my beautiful chaotic one! Now, who needs a translation?

my guess is you are screeming at the pain you feel. And that it finally went away!

You are a pain in the neck? No,no, that's not right. You had a pain in your neck, but it finally went away? I don't know, it's too early for me to decipher this.

I made the mistake of hitting 'preview' before 'submit' and it posted in this garbled way. I have to stop doing that.

*LOL* That was hard to read in my e-mail. And, I keep saying this, I gotta stop doing that! After coming in and reading it here, I got it.

i can read this but enough already, long discussions are hard enough to get through without all these additions. It was fun once.

When I first wrote it out, it was layed out much better for reading. And really not long at all. But I made the mistake of hitting the preview button and the layout got all screwed up on submission. And it's the first time I've written anything like this here, so I don't under the 'It was fun once." comment.....?

Hey... nice one... Anyway, I have a suggestion to the challenge. Why don't you do it without those anatomy terms. I think your "piece" would have been a lot better without those. I imagine it would have been more poetic and not sound as if two anatomists are talking about Batman and his weird and wonderful body parts. And you can try using the most bizarre grammar structures you know, like old English or something... I hope you will always challenge yourself to excellence!

Trust me it sounds a LOT better without the synonyms! Thanks for the critique and encouragement though. Some good thoughts for me to ponder there............

Oh it's just this extremely analytical mind with it's never ending thoughts of vampires, love, and love going on for centuries, with the broad aspects of the life lived by the blood thristy ones that walk the night looking for their next meal or a mate. lol

Oh My dear Sparky, you are a Chiropractors dream. I guess you have to be a "neck" person to understand that the neck can be the center of libido. Am I right? Hugs from the "Blow on my neck and I'll follow you anywhere gal", Marilyn

Oh Sparks you are so clever! Your talents really are wasted here on MyLot, though I am glad you are here as you are always entertaining and bring a smile to my face. I got it all, though I did need to read it a few times. I agree that the brackets were not really needed. Can't wait for the next installment

LOL, I have to admit that I wasn't thinking of Alice, but yeah....it fits! Bella put me up to this, and I wanted her to relate so I ran with the vampire theme she is so fond of. Glad it made you nostalgic for great music though P1ke. LOL

Why does that shock you Cyn? I am a big fan of Alice. I'm old you know. I can remember him before he started to play golf!! I often pop round and we listen to Perry Como LPs (vinyl disks) together as we compare Pringle sweaters and remember when men were men; and women waited for us to sweep them off their feet!! LOL.

Beautiful, Sparky! You woke up to a pain in the neck... radiating downwards... because you were being bitten by a...vampire bat... but it got away before you had a chance to smash it flat! BTW I am awake right now because of coffee-induced insomnia and my daughter rolled into MY spot in the bed...
