Where do your topics come from

I was taking a look around and noticed all sorts of topics. There was everything from life questions (what should I do to make my guy marry me, opps I might be knocked up, my kid is teething) to just stuff things (which way do your knifes point, what's your favorite color, a MyLot ghost) So where do you get your topics at? I started a list of what I wanted to blog or post about. Do you keep a list?

Anything can set off a topic for one of my few and far between discussions. i can be washing up the dishes, watching television or even on the phone or driving and I see or hear something a a spark says 'topic for myLot' If I'm at home I write it down and I have a long list here waiting for attention. I don't like starting discussion when I have no time to comment back to those who respond so I do not churn them out very often. Looks like the week-end might be the next one

When there is a news article pertaining to Italy I have indeed used it for a discussion but this has happened very rarely.

I've found my self worrying how many times other people have posted what ever it is I have running through my head. The news is also a great source of topics if you don't mind risking people getting upset at your views.

I had started mine about things that has happened with me or may be what I have heard or if I am seeking advice or opinions. I like the advice and opinions because it helps me to open up the situation I am talking about.

It helps to be open to what people have to say. I'm glad that you are. I bet it helps finding topics easier. Thank you.

It certainly does help. I am also grateful to all the members here on mylot. They have given me great advice regardless if I agree with it or not. All advice is good advice.

my topics come from, things in my life, things I see in friends, and or other peoples lives. Or the news I see on my homepage while going to mylot...all kinds of things..Sometimes i just wonder what different people think and how different people would act in certain situations, and mylot is good for that sort of thing! =) A lot of times it is a great place to rant, when something is bothering you. It helps me figure out rather I am right and justified in how I feel, or if I am overreacting a bit, which helps me determine the route to take in fixing it! =)

Topics come from life. Everything that happens to me during the day can be a potential topic for discussion. Driving to and from anywhere and listening to the radio or the DJ's talking, things your kids say, events, and all the issues that move in and out of our lives.

My kids are great for giving me ideas. I'm finding my self stopping in the middle of stuff and thinking, "I could write about that" I feel rather.... nuts... oh well.

I forget some with my busy life if I don't take notes. But then that applies to everything in my life, not just MyLot. Thank you for taking the time to answer this discussion.

I keep a notebook of things I want to write on, and notes regarding the subject matter, etc. Some ideas come from shows I've been watching, some from the books I'm currently reading, some from discussions I've had with local friends, some from observations. Some from life experiences, etc. Namaste-Anora

There is some amazing places and times when things can come to mind. Just the other day I was out in the yard trying to figure out how we are going to lay out the garden, dog run, driveway, and kids stuff. I just stopped and thought of a topic that had nothing to do with yard work. It had to do with writing. I was like "where did that come from?" Thank you for dropping in!
