OK, for a few weeks now I've been battling with Rhonda - the voice on my eliptical ifit trainer program. She has just been whoopin' my butt in the intermediate series - until the last couple days that is. I think what she does is she gives you a very kick butt first week or so to weed out the people that aren't serious about working out. Then, she moves down into the tough but manageable mode. The last week I have really felt challenged but not to the point of wondering if I was going to live through the workout or not. I think I'll be back up to every day this week!!!

Yeah her strategy is to break you down, make you cry, put you on your knees woman and then keep you screaming for more. She wants you addicted to her. She is working on your mind as well as your body. How's she doing so far? lol

hahahahaahh too funny!!! Actually, today is one of the days I am a bit sore after my workout. Usually even the harder ones didn't make me sore. I guess I'm using different muscles... Tomorrow I go for 2 days in a row...

Can it be you are living up to her expectations? I think you are getting into shape and then she feels she is not as hard.

Actually, I think that strategy was a bit off... The workout this week was killer, took me 2 days to get it done again... Took today off, but will be back at it tomorrow, hopefully it wont be a killer... Oh, I have lost 3 lbs, so it must be working.

I do not think a talking trainer would be good for me. I would tend to talk back a lot, and maybe get rude. I do that to the self check cash registers, even if they just have the words on screen. I am glad you are catching up and figuring out how to survive with your drill sergeant.

Oh, I have had some not-so-pleasant things to say to Rhonda, but she totally ignores me - much like the self checkouts. Actually, I was just talking back to something the other day - it may have been the self-checkout at Home Depot... One day they will answer back and totally shock us!

you don't hear other voices do you ? i'm proud of ya for sticking with it, i receiently purchased a spin cycle ? where you peddle and pull the handle bars back and forth at the same time. i don't have rhonda but i find myself instead of watching a 1/2 hour show while biking i'm now at the hour mark. but i must confess i don't do commercials that's when i play with the dog until their over then i go again

Oh, that is too funny! If your machine has a place to put the ifit memory cartridges - they're the size of the camera memories - then you can get them. You may not get Rhonda, but I hear the other trainers are just as rigorous! I like how the pace and resistance change so that I'm not just doing enough to get by, but really working at it. My husband tends to overdo it and tire himself out before he's had a decent workout.
