Do you feel unmotivated to do anything?
In UK it has turned cold, I hate the cold and often I feel chilled to the bone. Right now I have a pair of tights on, socks, thick jeans, two tshirts a jumper and a cardigan on and I am still cold. I want to sort all my washing out but the thought of moving and getting going just stops me! I just want to sit and snuggle and keep warm!!
So when it is freezing would you rather sit and wrap up to keep warm or do you prefer to keep moving to keep warm?

I hate the cold. I never want to do anything when it's cold out! I just get lazy I guess. Why do anything when it's to cold to even go anywhere.

Hi gemini...we are having the reversal of that problem here....it is so bloody hot...my energy feels as though it has been sapped out of me. I'm stiff and sore and wobbly when I do get up for some reason and I'm often feeling short of breath and slightly dizzy when I do go outside.
I just want to stay in and do as little as possible...I get really sleepy during the day too...it's 3:00am now and there is a lovely cool breeze blowing.

It's haymaking season and I help a friend out when I can by driving him to where he is making hay or picking him up; the timing is very important. I was just sitting here finishing up as he was too tired to go out at that time...however, according to my neighbour who came rattling through my gate and banging on my bedroom wall at 7am, I was deliberately waking her up because I didn't care about anyone but myself.
Hope you can be snuggly warm....

When it is cold it is hard to feel motivated to want to do anything. Most of the time when it cold here I sometimes would rather be laying in my warm bed with all of the covers over me. And since I have a Laptop and a Wireless router I could also be online as well. There is just something about Cold weather that seems to drain me. Since I am Diabetic and have RA somedays when it is colder I have to find myself pushing myself to get anything done then for sure.

That is the good thing about wireless and laptops the fact that they can go and be used anywhere!!

Hi,gemini,
For me I would rather stay at home ,wrap myself up except on the occasions I have to go out~~seems I am a kind of person who is really lazy and do not like to move no matter outside is so hot or so cold .When I am in a really cold room I will keep moving around the stove (if there is a stove),and drink some hot water as I think drinking hot water is a way to warm ourselves ~~~~~
Hope you are doing well ~~~

It has tried all day to snow where I am too but it just keeps throwing little bits down here and there. If it would just snow and get it over and done with then I am sure it would warm up a little!! Its given out a cold week so I believe, yeah great.

I have S.A.D. so the winter months are very hard for me. Plus, severe depression and am subject to panic attacks. So, the cold is hard enough but then with these other things added to the mix it is difficult to get through the winter months. But, layers of clothing do help quite a bit.

Hi gemini,
I am very grumpy when it is cold! I also end up wrapping myself with layers of clothes and will work online then noon time, will take some nap. I don't take a nap during spring and summer but I love it during winter! LOL!

It's cold here too and school was out for three days of this week. Maddy and I just relaxed the whole time, and I don't think I did any housework during that time. Only when he was back at school did I start on our laundry and vacuuming. Some days I'm motivated and others I'm not. Just depends on my mood when I wake up :)

Did you know that the more you move around the more you get your blood pumping through your veins which warms the body? So if I'm cold, I'll find something active to do to get myself warm again. I find that there's always something that needs to be done so I'll find something and dive right into it. lol

NOw you are talking, I do love the snuggle part.. I keep a big blanket on the sofa so that when I get cold, I snuggle under the blanket with the remote control keeping me company.. I walk around barefoot and my feed get cold, so no matter how many pieces of clothing I have on when my feet get cold, they go under the covers, it is also a great time for a nap.. Stay warm..

Really? It's that cold? When it's super cold I tend to stay indoors too. I don't like going out because I'll have to wade through the snow and put on a lot of thick clothes and look like Santa. But when I stay home I'm not necessarily unmotivated. I can still do chores around the house. i think I'm laziest when it's raining. The patter of rain is like a lullaby that puts me to sleep. :)

Well it has gone cold here, although I do tend to feel it more than everyone else so it is possible that to others it might not be as cold as it is to me!!

If it is cold, (it gets cold sometimes here too) I do not want to move around. I would get a hot drink and snuggle into bed with a book. Then read myself to sleep. I love to be warm and cozy. sorry that it is so cold; I hope that it gets warmern soon. Blessings

That sounds so nice just now, snuggling up in bed, I think if I had a tv in my room that is where I would be very soon!!

when it is cold outside i would rather sit at home in front of the fireplace and snuggle up and go to sleep. i don't like the cold weather because it seems to make my body ache and i feel like i don't want to anything that i usually want to do. i get very tired very easily, and it's definatly harder to get out of bed in the morning.

There are 2 major behavior changes I've noticed for myself when it's cold out. The first is I hate to get out of bed in the morning. I'm all nice and snug and the room is slightly chilly, why the heck would I want to expose myself to that. But unfortunately I need that paycheck so off with the covers.
The second change, and this is relatively recent, I'd say just this winter, I hate to go outside. I don't want any part of it. I think bears have the right idea, pig out and party all summer and when there's a chill in the air, find a nice place to curl up and go to sleep until spring. I would really just like to stay inside all the time. Which complicates going to work, go to run errands, even coming back home...except that I know that my nice comfy, warm bed is at home so that makes that one a little easier.

I have to get up in a morning to take the children to school and that is hard too sometimes! I also hate going out when it is cold although I must admit as I walk the children to school I soon warm up and then it is not so bad.

The hardest part for me seems to be my feet and lower part of my legs. They stay so cold b/c of my diabetes that it becomes painful to be on them much so I end up either bundled under a blanket or in bed sleeping.

I hate winter time as well. Don't get me wrong, the snow is very pretty at first and is nice for Christmas time but after that it can go. The bitter cold weather and I do not get along now a days. I too sit bundled up and am always freezing. I dress in layers even though the heat is on. Winter time and the coldness takes its toll on many and makes it hard to get motivated which is why people actually put weight on during this time. So it's not just the cookies and sweets and all the yummy food of the holidays, its lack of movement because its too darn cold!! I can't wait for spring to come. lol.

I hate the snow, probably because I walk the kids to school and so it is really hard to walk in it, plus its cold!! I just actually motivated myself to go and put my washing away and it warmed me up a bit which is good!!

Well moving certainly does keep a person warm, but so does several layers. I think here most people are used to not doing as much during the cold weather wich is where everyone gains weight and then when the weather warms up we shed those extra layers & pounds.

I move easier in colder weather. In the summertime here he gets up to the 90's with horrible humidity, and those are the days I don't feel like doing a thing!
