Would you want a referral here in mylot who knows you personally?

Hi everyone!
Before, I used to complain about not having any referrals. I had my mom signed up on mylot but never posted even one discussion. She never participated at all till the day she died. I convinced my brother to sign up and he did but he made a mistake signing up and ended not as my referral. Just last December my sister-in-law signed up. She was so willing and I was happy cause’ I know she’s good in doing these sort of things, giving advices and sharing thoughts. And the fact that I will earn from her participation makes it even better.
But now I am having regrets having her as my referral. Don’t get me wrong fellow lotters, she’s a good sister-in-law and I have nothing against her but knowing that she will see my discussions, I am having second thoughts on posting topics that for me is too personal, things about my family, problems and personal life. Things that I don’t want people who knows me personally learns about my thoughts. I am not comfortable for her to know it. I am concern about her reactions too and what she might think about me when she reads my discussions. Including this one. I hope she won’t get mad at me if she reads this.
What about you guys? Do you have any referrals here in mylot? Do you know them personally or not? Do ask your friends to be your mylot referrals?

My one and only referral is a family member. I had hesitations but she wanted to join so best to keep it in the family as they say. I must admit I have stopped myself from posting new discussions that I would have had no problem posting before but then I also enjoy her presence here, albeit rare most of the times. MyLot was my "private world" for a few months there, I am still on the process of accepting that it is not anymore. Anyway, I have vowed to still post as I want to and realize that she does not "stalk" my discussions as I initially worried about. Besides, if she does not know my thoughts about certain things or what I feel, then she can know about it through myLot.

Hey there iskayz
Well you do surprise me that you would start such a discussion that your sister-in-law is definatly going to see, why would you do that? Anyway I have a friend who is a referral of mine and although he is not very active he still gets notifications to say that I have started a new discussion so that has stopped me from starting a discussion about him - darn it!!
