my cousin told my mom she took her kid to an chiroprator/allergist (i dont know how you get THAT combo but whatever) and he had this machine that you just hold in your hand and the electrodes go through your body and tell the machine what food you are allergic too.. am i the ONLY one that thinks this sounds like bs?!?! i mean maybe im ignorant and havent heard of this method of testing but i have never heard of something you hold having electrodes going through your body and it telling you your allergic to stuff.. her kid was allergic to eggs, sugar and wheat according to the machine.. which is just GREAT since her kid is pretty much allergic to every other food item there is also.. is this testing method real? am i just out of the loop on new medical technology??

I have debated on getting tested to figure out what exactly my allergies are for years. Fortunately, besides my cat allergy( which bums me out, but what can you do)none of my allergies are too severe, and i don't really have any individual reactions to food(as far as I know). Mostly, they are just annoying as I just get the sneezy runny symptoms. I had heard of the scratch test, which always seemed a bit cruel. I was glad when I heard that you could just get a blood test(that's when I actually started to consider getting tested). But now I can just get hooked up to a machine? Hmmmm, it's getting harder to not go and get tested...I'll have to think about that one.

yeah the scratch test is painful and if your like me and am highly allergic to everything but 2 things then you have your whole back in whelps for a day!! apparently this machine test is legit so i would do it if i were you!! you can be allergic to stuff and not realize it but when your around it feel fatigued etc and then once you know you can avoid it or take meds or shots and then avoid the unnecessary fatigue.. i should be tested for food allergies but never got that far.. they were obsessed with controlling my other ones first.. but after months of shots i gave up on those.. they were killing me money wise!!
