Since Valentine's Day is around the corner, it brings back memories of a year when i got a beautiful card from my husband. It had a nice verse inside that told me he read the inside. However, the front of the card was a bit humorous as it said, "I love being your wife" on it. I saw it when I opened the card, concealed my smile and held in my laugh and opened the card and read all of it. Then I said to him...well this is a nice card, did you read it? He said that he had spent a lot of time looking for the perfect card and saying inside. That is when I giggled and asked if he read the cover. He again said yes and I burst out laughing and showed him the front of the card. He couldn't believe it. It was one of those classic moments and I love it. The card did have a nice verse on the inside and was even more special because he did actually spend time reading the cards, just happened to miss the cover!! LOL! Have you ever received a card with a little boo-boo like this? How did you receive it? Take it like a grain of salt and laugh or were you upset?

I have not gotten a funny Valentines card. I did get flowers from my hubby once. He was so kind he bought me a beautiful bouquet of carnations in a pretty vase. He bought it as the hospital gift shop where I worked and brought it to the nursing floor I worked at. Well it was a bouquet that you give new mothers. The vase has little baby stuff on it, like rattles, rocking horses, and baby bottles. My co-workers wanted to know if I had an announcement to make. I had to laugh because I had had a hysterectomy years early. He did try. The flowers where for no particular reason except he loved me. We have been married for 31 years now.

That's pretty funny! Men- I don't think they EVER read cards. One year on Father's Day my son gave my husband a Happy Birthday card.

My first hubby frequently let holidays and special occasions slip on past. It really distressed me. The funniest thing he did, in my opinion was to go out and buy a card for me, then go out and buy a card for me from the kids, and he never even noticed they were the same cards, cause he did them at different locations.

Oh wow, that is funny too! I remember that one of my girls got a birthday card from her grandmother when she was little and her name was spelled wrong. That was a bit funny too.
