How long have you been a member of Mylot?

So far I have not seen this discussion posted here and so I'm wondering, how long have you been a member of Mylot and how long did it take you two reach your current number of postings. I have been a member of Mylot and at the time of posting this discussion I have just over 550 postings (I tell you this because it constantly changes) I have only been a member of Mylot for just over two months and I have managed to make payment both of those months. I think the reason I was able to make payment in my first month was because I posted comments daily. What about you how long have you been a member of Mylot and how many postings on average do you do per day or per week? I am being nosy because I want to know how long it took all of you senior Mylotters, to reach your 4000th or 5000th posting. As always your comments are greatly appreciated and happy Mylotting!

I just joined mylot a week ago while I was on my trip to China. I posted some comments to kill my time without being known that I could get paid by doing so. Now, I tried my best to post as many as I can. I love answer interesting comments, and get paid by doing so. I wish that I can make my first payment as soon as possible.

I have been a member of mylot since October and haven't reached payout yet. I am half there and I don't know if I'll be able to request payout this February but I hope I would be able too. Sometimes I am too lazy to respond and start a discussion so I just upload picture sometimes... Its nice to know you have been paid twice already. I guess you were able to make quality discussion and good responses and have referrals too as for me I have one referral however he is not that active and he just registered for mylot but he didn't even made one post.

Hi Wheel! Thanks for the encouragement. At first I was a little disappointed due to the slow earning here in mylot but after a few weeks, I really did enjoy it here and as I enjoy more I tend to earn more. I guess its really true that you should not be cautious of your earning but love what you're doing. I can say that I have improved a little in responding and stating discussions because little by little I respond more in longer lines rather than before that I only respond to one or two lines. I can say that I enjoyed so much here because its a very interactive site, I get to meet a lot of new people online. One thing that slows down my earning is that I can't log in to mylot for longer times because I have a day job and I can only log in the afternoon or early in the morning before I go to work, but I try so much to maximize my time especially during the weekends. I really hope I would be able to meet payout soon. I don't want to promise because I tend to procrastinate at times lol ... I just hope I would. Thanks for sharing your experience and see you around. Have a nice day too.

For the most part there are really nice people here, of course as with everything else there are a few bad apples that try to spoil it for everyone.

Hi, Marie I'm sorry you have not been able to make payout yet. I still cannot figure out Mylot payment system, (and rumor has it that they do not want us to be able to) but I only have one referral and that person is not in fact the reason that I have been able to make payment each month, they have earned me approximately 50¢ and so my earnings have been solely my own. I just don't get it, some members seem to get paid more per posting then another user.... I guess it doesn't really matter to me though, because for the first time I'm enjoying posting on a discussion forum, and I get paid a few extra dollars in the meantime. Perhaps that's the secret not to focus on your earnings too much... I hope you reach payment this February I am sure you will if you continue to post. Until next time, happy Mylotting!

I've been a member of mylot, for about nine or ten months, now. I must say that I'm rather enjoying it. I enjoy taking part in discussions, and reading other people's responses, and their views.

Hi Wheel, I am been here for six months, now I just over four hundred and fifty posting, I am a little lazy somtime. When I am too busy, I will not log in to mylot about one or two weeks, and when I taking my holiday, then I will also not log in to mylot one week too to get a fully rest. Sometimes when I log in to mylot, and there is nothing interest discussion for me, and I will just read the discussion and the responses, then log out from mylot. I am the person to make my payment slowly. I do not manage how many post that should I post every day or every week, it just depends on my interest on that discussion. I think I will the longest time of member to make the first payment in mylot. Happy Mylotting!

Well, as long as you are having fun with it, the earning are a bonus. It would be terrible if I were posting only for the money... there are much better ways I can earn much more money online... mylot is a fun site with an earning bonus.

I have been here for 3 months. I have not reached payout. Actually I can't get paid anyway because I have an ongoing thing with paypal and can't use them. I wish Mylot would add Alertpay because I also have them. So I guess I'm just doing this for fun...LOL...That makes no sense!!!!! I must just love to talk or type or whatever. Maybe at this rate when I finally reach payput they will have another way to get paid.

are you really doing it for fun sake and you are in a hope of mylot will add alertpay in its method of payment. it is really very crazy to see i am commenting to a person first time who is here not to earn money.

Sad to say that I have been a member of myLot for 3 years now but for a long time I was inactive or maybe only made a couple of posts a month, if any sometimes. I am fairly busy with work as a truck driver plus with our small organic farm and both those take up a lot of my time. At one stage my partner was also working off the farm so when we were home there were many more important things to do that be on the internet. However late last year where I work decided that due to a shortage of work, we could take some of our accrued holidays instead of them retrenching drivers. During that time I was able to spend more time here on myLot and I worked out some sort of system where I could post several days a week at least now that I am back at work. In saying that I still do not manage to make a lot of posts on any one day. I think the maximum was about 30 posts and that was only because I had done them in work when I was offline. Then when I got online, it was a simply cut and paste to make each response that particular day. Generally though I would say I make maybe 15 and that number does depend on how many comments or counter comments I make to my responses. A friend of mine, who cancelled their membership, was very active here on myLot for about 8 months and made over 10,000 posts in that time and started heaps of discussions as well. They usually made at least 50 posts per day and often it was 100 but myLot was much faster loading pages then too. I was quite shocked when they told me about it and of course even more so when I saw how much money they got each month. Oh and they made good quality responses and discussions as well, not just one liners. They left when myLot banned a lot of members and deleted a lot of discussions and their post count dropped by a couple of thousand in a couple of weeks. I think it is sad when those things happen but I guess that people do move on elsewhere for a variety of reasons. For me I will keep plodding along and the number of posts I make will vary from day to day, week to week. If I don't make payout this month, then there is always next month.

Wow! I just read your response. (yeah, I know I'm behind in my responding, but life happened in between and mylot had to take a back seat... Since, I am a relative newbie I did not of all the problems that the site has been happening... I hope that I can manage to keep my nose clean and not make anyone angry enough to attack me here, but, if they do well so be it. I am who I am and if they don't like it too bad... But, I guess there are so many things that are out of our control we just have to pick our battles... Thanks very much for your very thoughtful response and until, next time we cross paths... take care, and Happy Mylotting!

Hello There! Wow, I had to go through my profile on the bottom of the page to check how long I have been a member of MYLOT community web site. As of this day, I am a member of Mylot for 11 months already. Wow! Just a year ago, I was cramming to reach my 500 posts so that I can copy and paste some of my discussions or answers from my drafts then I can't wait to get my minimum payout. lolz... Now, it has been 11 months and still going. I am really fond of mylot site. I can participate in the discussions not because of money but it practice my writing skills. It helps me express myself more and more each day. Plus ofcourse, I earn a little money from doing what I like over the Internet. Enough to pay my one month Internet bill. Lolz. Wow, just two months and you got 500 plus posts already. Keep it going! And it is really good to hear that you reach your payouts already. Goodluck in your online earning! Thanks for the discussion! Happy Mylotting and Have a great day! Cheers!

I think I've been here since April of 2008, I've made payout every month (except that april) because I have been pretty active. I joined after the middle of the month so I only had about 10 days to make payout, and since I didn't know what I was doing, I wasn't able to make it. I think I have close to 2200 counted postings. I would have more if comments under responses counted lol.

Hi there bookreader and welcome to Mylot! That's alot of posting on a short time... I have been a member almost twice as long as you. Keep posting and you will get there soon enough. The good thing about Mylot is that if you do not make payment this month your unpaid earnings will roll over to the next month... which means that you will get a larger payment in March, as Mylot pays their members once a month on or before the 15th of the following month. So, keep going and Happy Mylotting!

Hi there wheel416! I have been here for more than 3 years already. In those three years, there were a lot of moments that I have not been that active here on myLot. While this is a wonderful site, there are a lot of things that keep me busy. Thus, there are times when I do not really go online. Moreover, not being able to log into mylot. For the past few days though, I have been a little more active. But as my work would again demand much of my time in the next few weeks, I might not be that visible here again. There are times when I would reach about 20 to 30 daily. That is already the combined value of my own discussion as well as those that I respond to.

Hi there and Welcome to Mylot! You have stumbled upon oone of the major pet peeves that most of us have with the Mylot Admin. It seems that they do not want us to know exactly how our earning are calculated so that we can not artifically inflate our earnings here, in fact here is what Mylot themselves say on the subject. Our myLot mathematicians have worked long and hard on our elaborate payment system and we wouldn’t want any of our users to make them feel inadequate by breaking their algorithm in minutes. That quote was taken directly from the mylot guidlines themselves. So, all I can say is keep posting and you will make the minimum payment before you know it and I have been paid twice already so they are legitimately paying their members. I hope that helps. Happy mylotting!
