Is epinions worth it?

For me, the best way to make money at Epinions is to wait for their promotions, where they will pay you for each review you write. This month they are ony running a contest. But, next month they might go back to paying. Check the member section every month to find out. Things like electronics get good income share payments, because people search a ot for them. I don't review a lot of stuff that gets good income share pay. So, I only submit reviews when they have upfront payment promotions, that way I can be sure I get paid either way.

I like Epinions a lot. While the revenue sharing often doesn't bring more than a few cents per review (especially for media reviews, my specialty), it can add up over time and the site often has promotions that make writing reviews much more profitable. Last year I even got a $5 Christmas bonus from them out of the blue despite having written just a handful of reviews. It does take a while for money to get credited to your account -- the money you earned in January from new and past reviews will be credited to your account in February, and it can take even longer for promo money to be added.
