and has had his shots. He's a stray cat that someone dropped off or let go when they moved away. He has ear mites and pink eye, but he's going to be alright. If he was going to die, I was going to put him to sleep. He's loving and wants someone to pet him. He wants a place to go indoors and sleep at night, but my cat wants to fight him. I'm looking for someone to take him in. I really get very angry that someone is making me max out my credit card for their irresponsiblity. It's really obvious that this was someone's pet. Ferral cats don't act like this one.

It's terrible some people think pets are objects they can throw away when they "don't work fine" :( I get very angry when I see situations like Creamsycle's, but then I believe in people again thanks to the ones like you, people who give time and money away.
Once I found a cat in a box, he couldn't move. I took him to the vet and she told me the cat might've been hit by a car, so hurt he was :(
So I paid for putting him to sleep. It was as sad as if I had known him for years. But at least he didn't suffer more (doctor said he was to die due to his wounds, but maybe in days!)
Thank you for being nice to Creamsycle! I hope you find a good home for him! :)

I hope I find a good home for him, too. I was all set to have to put him to sleep. I've had better looking cats that were terminal. This one with the bad eye and all the open sores from trying to scratch because of the ear mites. It will be awhile before anyone wants him.

Am really glad to hear the new cat is lukemia free and aids free. I can't understand how someone can let their animal just go either. I would atleast return it to the Humane Society or some organization that would put it up for adoption. Atleast I would feel like I was doing the right thing.

All of our shelters are at 200%, they aren't taking any more animals. I asked them and they said we could be put on a waiting list for them to take this cat. So maybe the person tried, but turn around time is at least 3 months. They tried for 2 days to have someone adopt and a couple people took brochures and applications and said they would get back to the shelters. Most people have too many animals now so trying to find cats homes right now is like trying to sell snow to Inuits! Thanks and take care

Oh, my dear, what a wonderful soul you are! I think "creamsycle could feel those wonderful vibes you give off! I truly do hope you are able to find him a wonderful, loving home!
It seems to be a sign of the times, nationwide..and probably worldwide! There is a "glut" of people abandoning their pets, here, as well! On this small Island, our "cat lady" (a very special person, who turns away NO little furry person) has a total of 83 in her rescue centre....and she neuters/spays...and treats all diseases, injuries, etc. A huge financial burden!
Possibly, with your brilliant mind, you could help! I am looking for a unique way to raise money for this centre! Any thoughts!
Thank you, for taking care of one of God's little creatures! Hats off to you, you special lady!

Here, people are asked to send any coupons for food that they don't want to shelters. That cuts down on the expense. Often people like her are featured on TV and then they get more money, so if a news story hasn't been done about her, maybe there should be one. Some people donate to pet places in their will or give a percentage from their lotto winnings.

thank you, for the great ideas...and wonderful tips! And these ideas sound like something that could be on-going support...not just a one-time shot in the arm! Thanks for your time...Cheers!

Glad to hear that Creamsycle tested negative for feline leukemia and AIDS. At least he will leive. I hope you find a good and loving home for him. Can't stand to hear someone would just dump his/her own pet. It just doesn't make sense to me. You are a kindhearted soul to take in an animal like that. Hope you find him the best home ever.

Somewhere someone is feeding him, but not taking care of his medical. He won't touch the food I offer, but he's fat, so he's eating just fine.
One ear is almost healed and the fur has grown back from where the ear mites made his dig at himself. The other ear, I may have to bring him back because I'm not sure the mites are gone. He escaped and he doesn't come back often enough for me to heal his eye. So we're still working on the medical. Thanks and take care
