You know when you got to go to the Bathroom you just got to go. What if you expecting a phone call and you really have to go? Do you take the phone with you or do you hope they don't call while you in there? My mom calls every Wednesday morning from Germany, I don't want to miss her call so that's the only time I take the Phone with me. It's my Mom she'll understand.

The only person I take to the bathroom with me would be my sister. We are best friends and we both are comfortable enough to talk on the phone with each other while going to the bathroom. I would not do that with anyone else though. But she did watch me give birth to my first child, so there isn't much else that could gross her out about with what my body can do. HEHE

If it's a call I can't return, like for work for example, then I'll take the phone in there with me and hope for the best. If it's a call I can return, like from friends or family members I see all the time, then I'll return the call later.

No, I wouldn't. I don't care for talking on the phone anyways, I certainly wouldn't want to be on there while trying to squeeze one out.

If I am alone in my house and am expecting any call, I won't mind taking my cell phone or cordless phone to my bathroom. I know the caller cannot come to know that I am in the bathroom, that is why I am not his/her call. I can take the call in bathroom and can inform him that I am in the bathroom and if he could wait for few minutes, I'll rever to him. This way, he will feel more relieved and would come to know the reason why I am busy. If someone is present in the home, then I won't take my cell phone to the bathroom, instead ask my partner to handle the call and inform the caller that I am taking bath.

You may be right that we may get caught, when talking on phone from our bathroom because of acoustics effects. However, if I receive a call over there, I make it clear that I am in bathroom, it is for the caller to decide, whether to continue talking to me or he can talk to me later, if it is not so urgent, else I can call him back. I can understand your position, when your fiance catches you.......LOL!

dpk262006 you would know when a person is speaking from the bathroom because of what Architects like to call acoustics (not sure is the right spelling) anyway, it is the echo sound that is produced in the bathrooms because of tiles and enclosed space. I am always caught out by my fiance especially when I call from the bathroom. He always says....when you are through peeeing please call back!!! how embarassing.

I take the phone to the bathroom with me all the time. I have caller ID and if I know it's important I'll pick up, but if it's nothing then I'll let the answering machine get it.. If i'm on the phone and I gotta go, and it's my mom, sister or a very close friend, I just go on do my business and talk as nothing was going on. I am a mom, so multi-tasking comes hand in hand. lol. If my mom was calling from Germany, and I knew the exact time I'd have the phone plastered me to as well, that's a VERY important call...

Oh You're very welcome. Family is so important and with her being so far away, it's a must to stay close and in contact with her. I assume it wouldn't matter what you were doing at the time, you'd stop so you could talk with her.

I do not like to talk in the phone in the bathroom, thus I usually do not bring in the phone when I am in the bathroom. Even though I am expecting an important call, I always hope they don't call me while I'm in the bathroom. Also, I can always return a call even if I have missed it. Yeah, if it's your mum, of course she will understand as you treats her call so important.

Haha, I used to bring my phone to the bathroom before. It's not for call but for text. Actually I used two ways in using the phone while taking a bath. First is to insert it inside a transparent plastic bag, second way is before I hold the phone, I immediately rinse my hand and dry it with my towel. Hahaha! Happy myLotting!

I nearly always take the phone with me into the bathroom or outside. It seems like it never fails that when I go to the bathroom without the blooming thing it decides to ring its fool head off!! If Alexander Graham Bell had thought about the problems that the phone would cause with people getting to go to the bathroom in peace, he never would have invented it! I have been known to answer the phone while in the bathroom and unfortunately couldn't help the expelling of gas in one enormous blast! And of course bathrooms have wonderful acoustics!!

No, fortunately I live in the flight path of one of the Naval Air Stations and I got away with saying "Gee, the jets are flying rather low today!" The person bought the excuse.

I will take it with me if I am expecting a call and no one else is home. That isn't very often. Generally I will leave my cell phone with my husband if I am going to be indisposed for a bit. Now, we have a small auto repair business. One of the commercial parts men at Advance takes the phone with him. I have called a few times and he would indicate he would have to get back with me in a few minutes because he was indisposed. Now, it isn't like there aren't others there capable of answering the phone and either helping me or taking a message. I think someone doesn't want anyone else to make a commission. That is just a bit much.

Generally I don't take the phone in the bathroom with me. If I'm expecting a really important call then I will take it in with me but I won't pick the phone up until I "finish my business".

A cell phone is all I have anymore and I keep it in a small holster on my belt. I found out it is a lot easier nto just let you phone go where you go. I don't even have a house land line phone any more. Art

Sometimes I take the phone in the bathroom with me when I'm going to take a shower. I don't usually take it in there when I'm using the bathroom though. If it's important they will call back or they can leave me a message and I'll call them back. I have a little boy though so if I hear them leaving a message ( I have a regular answering machine and not voicemail over the phone)and if it's very important than I'll just have him bring it to me.

This topic made me laugh! :) I can't actually live without my cellphone with me. Here in the Philippines, we seldom communicate through phone calls. We're more on exchanging text message. I kinda get hooked with my phone and it's always a habit sending text messages to my friends. It keeps me "connected". :)
