I just woke up and the first thing I checked was how it looks like outside. The clouds look like it might rain today. I am so excited! Weather reports say it might rain as well so I am hoping it will. I am hoping for a big rainstorm to wash all this drought worries away. I am hoping for a big rainstorm to refresh our area once again. I have loved the weather and I feel guilty for enjoying the summery spring weather we've had the last few weeks. Now, we should welcome the rain. Have you ever wanted it to rain? When I was a kid in school, I used to jump up for joy when reports would say that there is no school because of the typhoon or hurricane as you guys call it here.

Oh yes, Sisi. I still remember wishing for rainy days just to skip the school. Nothing like sitting at home, enjoying the rains from your window. However, things are different now. Rains means such a mess here. Water loggings, muddy water, germs and really difficult traveling. In recent years when it rains it rains at a stretch making things topsy turvy flooding areas and destroying the poor. I do wish that your place rains for situation is different there. Happy enjoying the drizzles.

Today has been alternating between gray and then sunny so I hope the weather people got it right when they said we should be expecting them soon but not to the level that we need. Thanks, mimpi. I have had my fair share of floods as well when I was younger. Hope you stay dry over there then.

I practically can't even remember what the heck rain even IS anymore, SaintAnne! It has rained ONCE here in the last 11 months from memory and even that lasted all of an hour. You never realize how much you miss something like this until it's not happening much anymore. I miss tropical thunderstorms back home too!

Here's a link to http://www.weatherwizkids.com/Rain.htm so you would remember what rain is again. It even has a "simulation" of rain so you may get to reminisce. Would it be more weird and worrying if it starts raining in Egypt almost everyday? Thanks, James. I am off to get ready for work today.

Enjoy the oncoming of the rain. The smell of the wet mud and the first rain is undescribable. We are just getting out of the winter and into a hot summer. The First rains we will see in the month of April which also signify to us the start of the mango season. Seems long way to go though.

I can remember days when I've wanted it to rain because it was so hot and so dry out. Today, we're having very strange weather! It's a bright and sunny day . . . yet . . . it's snowing! How does *that* happen? LOL I'm sure the clouds will roll in sooner or later, but it's still very interesting to look outside and see this. LOL

I am just imagining how bright it is over where you are, explorations. It still looks a bit rain-cloudy to me but it also looks like the sun's coming out as well. I think the sun just wants it presence known everywhere today. Thanks!

I bet when it starts to rain over there, Cjay, you and your husband would be the first ones out to dance in the rain. That would be a sight to behold. Yes, I definitely miss the fresh smell that comes after the rain. Thank you and good morning to you too!

I just woke up in Bethany Beach, DE and we have 1.5" of snow on the ground. Before going to bed there was a 10% chance (Thank you Weather Channel accurate as ever). It does not snow much here, so the idiots on the road should be out in full force

i do like rains once in a while,i remember i used to wish there would be slightly heavy rains which would close the schools to be closed down(here, the train service gets disrupted,at the slightest rains)

I wished for heavy rains when I was a wee one, riyasam. When we were in grade school, there were a lot of cancelled classes because of the weather, in high school, not so much, in college, well, you got to get there even if you get there soaking wet. Thanks for letting me know about the disruption of train service. That would suck a lot.

Well, in our area, we have not had rain for a while and we need it pretty badly. I love rain. I think it does play with our mood as well but instead of referring to it as being a state of laziness and sadness, why don't we refer to it as a moment of refreshing relaxation? Thanks, angel of charm. Stay dry then and you take care.

Hey anne! I guess you can't make up your mind what kind of weather you prefer! I can understand though that if you need rain for a drought then I do hope you get it! I love summer or spring rain too! It makes everything smell so nice and refreshed! So I do know what you mean! I guess I just so wish it was Spring here already! But, nope! We just got a little more snow yesterday! And it's really cold again today! But, we are supposed to have some 50 degree weather this weekend! I just wish the winter was really over already! It will be soon enough!

I don't think we ever had winter here, Opal. So yes, I do feel guilty for taking good advantage of the great weather so it makes sense that I hope it would rain soon. At first I thought I hear rain drops but then it was just our neighbor's kid playing with his little car.

I love rain, I like it when I don't have to travel in it. Here it is cold as a turkeys behind on Thanksgiving day. It don't get that cold here much but we are experiencing some very cold weather. When I woke up this morning I turned on the weather channel and it was 18 degrees with a wind chill factor of 7 degrees, it is not suppose to get no higher than 35 degrees today. The wind is blowing. I will be staying in the house until it gets warmer. Enjoy your spring like weather.

You know what, Chevee, it actually feels like summer. Yesterday was about 70 to 75 degrees or so I felt. I wore a short-sleeved blouse outside yesterday and I was still feeling warm. I am sorry that it is cold as a turkey's behind where you are. That made me giggle. Stay warm then and thanks for the comment.

Hooray for the rain....Water rationing go away, come again another day. I want it to rain nonstop for the next 3 days, not too much though that we'd end up building an ark but just enough to chase the drought away!

We are now officially starting to think of ways to "ration" water at work. I love rain although I have troubles driving in it. But I am not complaining, just saying.
