I prefer a desktop because of the keyboard. I have a hard time with the small keyboard of laptops. Cheers!!

What reon said. lol. What he said is exactly right. It always a personal choice and for what you want your machine for. The machine that can be used for gaming purposes can be used for all but not vice versa. Coming to companies, there are many companies, but for desktops, look for assmebled computers because they can give a higher config at low costs. coming to laptops, look for the one which has got enough config to support your work. I personally have a MacBook and I love it. bourne

i use desktop,, but sometimes i use laptop.. but i think,, i prefer use desktop than laptop.. in desktop i can do anything,, because i use high performance desktop.. not like my laptop,, they are slow,, but even laptop more useful than desktop.. it can use everywhere.. so it is according to the situation and condition..

I use both Windows Desktops and Windows Laptops everyday for work and play. I love the fact that I can take my laptop on holiday,to lectures, use it on the train and so on. However, I am a Sound Engineer and require a fast computer with plenty of RAM to power my Audio Plugins and large compositions. Laptops just cant offer the same power of a desktop. They also have more inputs than you usually get on a laptop. For example my computer has 10 USB SLOTS just built in to the back. Where would you fit those on a laptop???

It's really a question of purpose. If you like to use your own machine and not use a public terminal (like at a library, train station, airport, etc), then the laptop is the way to go. Laptops have come a long way performance wise and battery life, with the variety of manufacturers and models, there are tons of business oriented laptops (relatively fast with high battery life). On the other hand, desktops offer flexibility as long as you have the right hardware from the start. With desktops you can upgrade parts like the processory, graphics card, sound card, etc etc. Also desktops can handle heat more efficiently due to the availablity of liquid cooling and larger fans. Me, i prefer laptops cuz i'm one of those people who likes to have their machine at all times.
