http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7868401.stm This is the article, basically, she said (in private!) that someone looked like a Gollywog, apparently it was Gael Monfils http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/42032000/jpg/_42032166_monfils416.jpg Do you think she should have even been sacked in the first place?

The BBC never sack Jonothan Ross for DELIBERATELY being a bumhead and DELIBERATELY upsetting people on air so how could it possibly be fair at all for Carol Thatcher to be punished for saying something within a PRIVATE conversation which I doubt very much was meant as an insult?

Of course she should, she was having a PRIVATE conversation and someone who overheard complained. Surely the person who overheard and complained should be disciplined not Carol. If the person was offended why not speak person to person with Carol and not make a whole media show of things.

Well, she was only being honest, his hair does make him look like one, I've been called a 'gollywog' before because of my hair (by a black person) and I'm WHITE! I think the media are making more of it than they really should, she needs to be re-insated, I don't really like her all that much and I wish she'd take elocution lessons, but that's beside the point. What someone says in private should stay private, they shouldn't have some brown-nosing jobsworth going off the 'the boss' and telling tales. Re-instate Carol I say!!!!
