Disappearing........

I'm going away. I'm disappearing. I'll be gone for good soon.
I really don't want to leave as I am very comfortable here.
But things just make me HAVE to leave/go/disappear etc.
It's mostly the warmer temperatures and sunshine that are making me leave. This photo explains it all sort of. A week ago I had well over a foot of now on my roof. Now there are just patches of snow left where the sun/heat doesn't hiot fully all day long. I am missing my snow. But alas, this is Minnensota and Februrary is the snowiest month so I am sure I'll have more before too long. What disappears in your life during winter that you miss?

I actually love both snow and cold. But if there's no snow on the ground and
it's cold it doesn't seem right and feels even colder than it really is.

I miss the birds singing outside my kitchen window. They don't sing during the coldest winter days but I heard them again yesterday even though it wasn't much over freezing. Today I even had the window open so that I could hear their verses. They go on and on twittering away while the sun shines.
That's the first sign that spring is just around the corner - hooray!

I can see the buirds singing but can't hear them due to the windows closed until May or later. I have to get some more birdseed Saturday as well. Their feeder has been empty for awhile now. Our spring (temps) comes early to mid May usually. Ugghh!

We shall start warming up quite soon though it has been known to snow in late March but it soon disappears if it does come. Then through until May it will be blue skies with the snow-capped mountains in the background! Just soooo beautiful!

I've puddles of wet stuff in my street from
snow melt if you want that brown sandy gunk.

I have been whining to my Sister on how much I miss the warm and sunny days where I could sit outside and bask in the warmth of the sun. ~sigh~ Spring can't come soon enough for me.

I sat out in the suns rays today.
Granted I had on a flannel shirt.
But still sat out soaking up a little sunshine.

I would have to go with you on this, Grandpa Bob, for I dearly miss the snow when it melts. The muddy mess in the aftermath is something I can live without along with sheets of ice.

my daughter told us that there is beauty in having the snow all around her. it is pure white beauty surroundings. she is in sweden right now and we talked about how difficult it is to deal with going around places when the snow falls rather hard enough. however, having a white christmas has some good sides to it also.
at times, she is discouraged to venture outside of her home. however, she cannot help it but enjoy the snowy site and appreciate it fully. it is a differently beautiful sight that only the spread of snow around can bring forth.

The snow is starting to melt here too. It's been here so long, It will look so different with it gone. I'm sure we will get lots more before spring. I can't believe we will reach 50 degrees tomorrow. wow!
What I really miss most in the winter, are all the flowers. I love flowers! I miss the green grass and the leaves on the trees and the warm weather too.

I got into the low 40's here today.
I have yet to hear what it's going to be like Saturday.
I hope just as warm so I can get more outside work done.

Hi GRANDPA BOB,
You never know, you might get it all back, we have a lot of snow around in the UK and everyone is struggling here, cannot cope hehehe, but I love the snow.

I know we aren't done with cold and snow yet.
It's only February after all.
Plus during the High School basketball tournament we usually get a big snowstorm.
That's in mid March. 
So for now I enjoy the warmth and working outside.

Aww bob you have to go? You were a pretty good mylotter also. I will miss you and thanks for being my friend. I like the picture also. Its beautiful, were you a profeesional photographer? lol Great having you. I wish it would snow here but it only lasts 30 mins maybe I should go in search of snow lol. well, really, i don't have any reason to miss the winter.....because i am not so comfortable with cold weather.
luckily, its not so cold here, forget about snow, the temperature is also not very low in winters......my problem is that my hands and feet get cold....almost numb......and i also catch cold....:-(
winter is a beautiful season, but, not if its too long and too cold.

Mine also get cold and numkb.
That's what wool socks and mittens are for, to keep them warm.

Hi Grandpa Bob! haha..I thought you were saying goodbye here and that caught my attention. My heart skip a beat for a second and when i read the discussion, I was able to relax. lol..
I guess, you are missing your snow but I am sure it won't be long til you will have snow again. Time flies fast!

I miss the flowers. I love the winter but I'm looking forward to Spring now and I'm really ready for it! I'll get a taste of it this coming week, it began today with temps in the low 40's and will get up past 50 for at least one day next week!
I'm sure we'll have at least one more snowfall, though. When I was here two winters ago looking for a house there was a big snow in March!

Yeah I miss my Liles and other flowers as well.
I get excited each spring to see how many new shoots pop out of the ground.
This year I am hoping for a good sized blackberry bunch and grapes as well.
I am hoping anyhow.

I Grandpa Bob! That is a beautiful picture! It looks like a
black and white post card! It does look kind of sad with the
snow melting on half the roof. Is February really the snowiest
month? You mean you get more than you've already had? I'm hoping
we don't get anymore snow! I can't believe you are expecting even
more than you have already gotten! You will be exhausted by
Spring! You need to save your energy for all those veggies!~

February is the month whyen we usually get the most snow amounts in the whole month is all. So I am exp[ecting some more snow yet this year. Maybe a lot actually. I wouldn't mind it really now that most is melted that's already fell this winter. I have bare spots on my lawn now where the brown grass shows. Ugghh!

I think I'll miss it too if it ever leaves. Sub-zero temps are not making that an easy task! LOL But as usual we are right behind you and warmer temps are moving in the first of the week so it's on it's way! Actually even though temps are really cold that sun is starting to make it melt a little, forming these huge icicles on everything
I have a feeling we haven't seen the total last of all the snow so stay prepared! LOL

None left now as it's been way too warm for them to stick around.
