I often wonder if like human, animals dream, too. And if the scientists want to find out, how would they make sure? Do you have any idea?

I don't see why they wouldn't dream. We are just animals too just like them we roam this earth trying to survive we just have a different style of culture then most of the animals that we are surrounded by on this earth. I guess it's because we have sort of molded the world into being it the way we want it too be and nature and things like that don't have much a choice back. Yes I think animals dreams because they're probably just like us but we can't understand them because they speak in animal talk.

Yes, you are right. How can we say that we are the only animals who have got this privilege to dreaming?

They already have found out, and yes animals do dream... I have witnessed my cat and dogs running in their sleep, playing and twitching... kittens sometimes suckling on their mother during weaning in their sleep when their mother is not there.... They can tell by brainwave activity.... - DNatureofDTrain

I think an EEG would be the way to go. They could meassure brain waves and compare the brainwaves to the once people display when they are dreaming. I am pretty sure animals dream aswell, as I've had numerous encounters with dogs and cats 'chasing' after things in their sleep, barking or meowing and showing relief when they wake up. If it's not a nightmare, what else could it have been?

Yes they do, you can sometimes see dogs and cats sleeping and twitching their paws or whimpering, I guess they're dreaming when they do that.

I have asked the same question and got positive myLotters answers - yes, animals do dream! At least, dogs and cats do because lots more proof than wild animals as cats and dogs are pets - easier for people to keep an eye on them. I have a cat at home and sometimes I see how it suddenly wakes up from shaking in his dream. I think it's dreaming.

I have no pets but i do love pets specially cats, dogs and other birds. I think in this world human being is the only living beings who is blessed with, Mind, Intellect and resolves so we can judge, think and make the right decision so why we dreams what we really think, what to we fear.
