I was on my way to school, riding an FX, then somewhere along the way, 2 cops got in. They got off before I did so I knew, I was very certain, they didnt pay the fare.. I told mom about it and she said she had encountered many policemen who didnt pay transportation fares.. They would just thank the drivers.. Why is that so? Is it a benefit for serving the country? or are they abusing or making use of their authority?

I thought that moment that they were abusive cops but when my mom told me they really dont pay, I became confused and thought that was their benefit... thanks for responding..

If that were to happen here in B.C. (Canada) it is quite likely that that was part of their Union agreement...as here in the Metropolis' both would be employed by the City...just different Unions, so that could be a bilateral agreement!
