Children who spend their vacations in the sand and surf are more likely to develop melanoma as adults. While experts can't yet say why such intermittent sun exposure seems to increase risk more than daily rays, they urge parents to be sunscreen savvy, dress kids in sun-blocking attire and take a break between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when the suns' rays are the most intense"[/b] For more Log on above. oh ya now they take the best part of the day to play!. Well We dont have a beach but do a swimming pool and its not heated except for the sun. and they say here the hottest part of the day is between 3 pm and 5 pm. IF we swim at that time we really put the sun blocker on grand daughter. after the sun goes down the water is NOT warm at all. And growing up I spent alot of time put doors and we didnt have sun blockers adn I dont have this. So it has to be in certain genes
