February 14 (Valentine's day): Single awareness day or Lover's day?

Few days to go and it is heart's day once again. But for me, I should pressure myself and catch up with some readings because I will take a very important exam soon. Oh no! No romance at the meantime. Haha. How about you, are you one of those who will celebrate it alone or with a special someone?.. How do you celebrate it or make this day special..?

My friend is in her first ever relationship. It's the first guy she's kissed, slept with, lived with, the first everything. Just recently he was trying to get her excited about a certain holiday coming up. So he says: "Now that President's Day is over can you guess what holiday is next?"
She says: Um no???
He says: No really guess!
She says: Groundhogs Day? But that's not really a holiday hmmmmmm.... I know! St. Patrick's Day!
He couldn't believe her answer. He says: You are kidding right?? It's Valentine's Day! I thought all girls loved Valentine's Day.
She's now laughing hysterically: No babe. Single people don't celebrate Valentine's day so its never been on my calendar.
So ... I don't know if it's Single Awareness day. It often slips by me unnoticed when I'm single. But it's definitely lover's day as I am always aware of it when I'm in a relationship.
