I like fish and it is my main source of protein. Today I ate a steamed Tilapia for lunch and I really appreciated it. I have always eaten Tilapia but usually fried or with sauce. Yesterday I had it grilled, then today I steamed it. It has lots of flavor on its own, and by just adding minimal seasoning it becomes really tasty. A 3.5 oz serving of Tilapia has 98 calories and provides 18.5g of protein with no saturated fat or cholesterol which makes it a very healthy food choice. Do you also like Tilapia?

IT has been a long time since I ate that fish for any meal.
Yes, the flesh is very sweet. And by itself, it is very flavorful.
Now a days, I rarely go out to the market to get fish. I just eat whatever my mother in law buys for dinner. It doesn't matter what fish it is. I just eat it.

Yes. And she is one heck of a good cook too!
That is why I really appreciate her staying with us. She will go marketing to get the freshest food. And then cook us a piping hot meal to welcome us home when we knock off from work!
Nothing beats a piping hot home cooked meal at the end of a long work day!
Reminds me so much of the days when I was still staying with MY mum.
I am indeed a very lucky man!

Yes, I like it. Actually it is a common fish here. And usually we will just steam it. Or we add tofu with it and make a tilapia fish soup. I think all fish are good and healthy for us:)
I love China

How will I know when my tilapia is not from the sea? Are there any signs I should remember when buying?

I like Tilapia Fish a lot. I would like to make a Tilapia Curry if ever Tilapia is available here. I would also like to cook it with coconut milk and with petchay.
If ever i will fry tilapia, i like to dip it with fish sauce or Bagoong isda with kalamansi. But since there fish sauce is not available again here, only ketchup is my main sauce.
I would also like to try the steamed Tilapia that you mentioned. And put some seasonings on it first before steaming it. Yummmy!I'm drooling now.

yup i so love tilapia, and it is easy to eat because it doesn't have much fishbones compared to bangus (but i do love bangus belly)
I love "ginataan" tilapia and "inihaw" na tilapia with soy sauce, calamansi and chili

I like tilapia when it crispy fried. I used to cook it sometimes in sweet and sour sauce. My hubby loves it!

I love tilapia, I actually just bought some this week and enjoyed some broiled with cous cous and steamed veggies - DELICIOUS! I love that it's so healthy but still tastes so yummy!

I like tilipia fish too! It can be cooked in different ways - fried, broiled and grilled. These can be eaten with a condiment of a mixture of green mango, tomatoe, onions and bagoong (fish paste), with ketchup, mayonnaise or simply with vinegar and garlic. I also love to cook this with gata (coconut milk) or with vinegar (paksiw for Filipinos).
You are right about the nutritional content of tilapia. Another good thing, it is always available in our public market and is affordable.
