How the heck did that mature content tag get on there?

Here's a discussion about putting more beauty in your life and improving your state of mind by smiling: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1906409.aspx Now how the heck would a discussion like that get a 'mature content' tag? Do people put that on? Do certain words in the discussion trigger it? Is the system picking on me? Anybody got an idea how it would have gotten there?

I'm not sure a single word in a response would merit a whole tag for it

I maybe it does. Somebody used the word 'mick' as an example and suddenly this discussion had that tag also.

even if there's a word in one of the responses that caused it to get tagged that way?

That happened me too when I was responded to a discussion because I tried to use the word "mick" as in taking the mick and it wanted to flag it as mature content.

oh no now you've doomed this discussion... lol seriously though, what meaning is there for the word 'mick' that would make it mature content?

I know in the past if someone does not put all heir tas in. Other members would oput tas that do not belong. This could be one of those cases.

Possibly but I think this one was automatically triggered!

so it probably is certain words in the discussion or in the responses then, I guess.

Goodness. It must be a reply from someone that has caused this. I cannot get the link up to see what it is.

Ah are you filtering out mature content tags?

Or someone may have purposely include 'mature content' as a tag when posting a comment to this topic. There are endless possibilities to this, unless and until we know the exact cause. :)

I'm thinking it could be automatically triggered by certain words although a person could tag it that way also.

I'm guessing they must count the word "depression" as an adult topic. Nothing else in that whole discussion seemed "adult". Usually the tag gets put on by an automatic filter that picks out "adult" words....the problem is, half the time it takes the word out of context and gives the tag to completely innocent discussions. Just try to mention a certain cut of chicken you may have had for dinner recently and you'll get slapped with "mature content".

Yeah or talk about the Owl and the P*ssycat or your donkey (a**), so I guess it was a certain word in the discussion.

yup....i used to think someone was following me and putting that tag in my discussions, but then i realized it's an automatic thing that like you say must be triggered by certain words. i even tried putting 5 tags in my discussion so there was no more room, but it just bumps one of your tags and puts in the mature content tag. i've even seen totally innocent discussions get tagged, so it must be certain words.

How would I know? I'm too busy trying to kill blind people in busy traffic lol. Seriously, I don't regard anything in that discussion would warrant a mature content label

That's VERY weird. Maybe someone misinterpreted the meaning of "mature content" (which we usually consider of s e x -ual nature) and thought the phrase meant something different. There are a lot of people on here who's first and native language isn't English, so maybe somehow, they misinterpreted the meaning of the phrase and decided to tag your discussion with it. Weird, though, I agree.
