Problem with Dell laptop - Here is a problem I had with my Dell laptop that had rainbow colours on it. I had to press the perimeter to fix it temporarily.
I had a similar problem with my laptop. It had coloured lines top to bottom and had the effect of a rainbow. I believe it to be a mechanical defect in the LCD itself. My problem was only intermittent though and I was able to cure the problem when it came up by pressing my thumb along the top of the LCD display. This seemed to make the connection and it was good for as long as I had the laptop on and sometimes for months afterwards until it happened again. Try this on your camera. If it is under warrantee it needs to be fixed, otherwise it would probably cost as much to fix as a replacement camera. I will post a picture of my laptop if I can, I might not be successful.

http://www.fixya.com/support/p328287-hp_photosmart_m407_digital_camera/solutions About all I can suggest is posting your question here. If you are not comfortably taking your camera apart it is probably a write off unless it has an optical viewfinder. Where did you get the picture of the problem, did they not have any solution to your problem.
