I don't understand why he is getting so much attention. This is shameful and glorying it.

i guess people are shocked... i know i am. 13 is awfully young to be a dad. I hope they realize the responsibilities in having a baby.

This story also shocked me too when I read it katemeow and from the photo I saw, it seemed that this young boy was much younger. There is no way that these young prrents, who really are only children themselves, will be able to bring up this baby without a considerable amount of support. For a start, the father does not even get pocket money at this time so someone else will be paying for everything for the baby. Even if both lots of parents are contributing to the costs of the baby, I suspect that the bulk of the costs will be borne by the UK taxpayers. The other thing I read today was that the sister of the boy also had a baby at the same age. She is now 19 apparently but the news reports did not say whether or not she had kept the baby.

people wonder why things are bad in the world today. the father looks only 10 yrs old. i'm sorry to say this maybe one time when the parents, should have stepped in a did something. yes support is important, but it's the big choice on what to do. their only kids, and now have to grow up fast, there goes their child hood. yes it's good the parents will help them, and hopefully encrouage them to finish school and go on. i wouldn't be happy, if it were my child in that position.

A sad thing but at least they are getting the support they need they might just have a good turn out with all that support! I wish them the best of luck!they will be in my prayers.

Hi Kate I was also shocked at that , i had read about that in the newspaper.I don't get what that 13 year old thinks about the whole issue.Actually they were told to go for abortion ,but the boy refused to agree with that , and now they ended up having a baby. It would be interesting as to how the world would take up the issue and what the concerned people would take this issue as. I feel it becomes more of an issue for the parents to take right care of their children at the right age ,else it would lead more such issues in the future and even more ugly situation. Cheers Vishwas

Dammit, it is shocking to see this. I am worried about the girl more than the boy. How could she conceive at such a young age. Not only is it dangerous but girls attain puberty at 13 and now, wtf?
