Pinikpikan is an Igorot cuisine where the chicken is cooked with an ETAG! etag is the secret ingredient of the pinikpikan. It is a salted pork stored for how many days (it is tastier if maggots grow in the meat). pinikpikan tastes good and one of the famous ways on how to cook chicken in the Cordilleras here in the Philippines.. Have you ever tasted pinikpikan??

Hello Karenlapniten, my kabayan. I have tasted Pinikpikan but it was long long long long time ago, when i was in Baguio City and my cousins used to prepare during dinner. But i did not know about Etag, i have never heard of it too, maybe i did not asked them anything about this, and what i did was just eat Pinikpikan, hehehe! My mother is Ilokana, that is why, most of my relatives were living in the North like La Union, Baguio and Benguet. I miss Baguio City too. The last time we visited there was year 2006 when i was engaged with my boyfriend (now husband). Anyway happy Mylotting!
