Hubby and I went to wal mart last night and he chose the closest one...I was like why don`t we go to the ones farther out and walk a little bit farther..If I was driving I think I would go to a farther one...just to get more exercise...how about you

well, here in ontario (canada) the closest parking spots are the ones for people with a wheel chair sticker (which means they are disabled) so when i go with my mom, we park there as she has the sticker, but when hubby and i go to the store, he generally drops me off at the door and sometimes picks me up and he parks anywhere (i have really bad knees - no cartlidge and walk with a quad cane).

Well to me that makes since, but we are both young and healthy. Really no reason to park really close. That is very kind of your hubby to drop you off at the door.

I like to park close to the store. It's just easier especially when you purchase a lot of items and have to carry them to your car. However, I don't always park that close to the store. Sometimes there are other ones available and I'll just park wherever I end up parking without searching much farther because it's just easier to park and walk.

Thanks for the response. It is easier. I get frustrated with hubby when he drives around until he finds one close enough!

these days the parking problems are every where. in my city there are quite a nuber of shopping malls around and i only get some times in the weekends to to go there. but,the parking hazzle is too much.for 2 hour shopping with family you will have to spend nearly 30 mins for the parking... well i don't know when this thing will be sorted out...

I like to park out farther out in the parking lots. I do this mostly because for the exercise! More people such do this! It drives me crazy when I see people drive around until they get the closest parking spot! It is a waste of time and money!

LOL, no I dont go near the stores...for two reasons...everyone does, and so if you park near the end you dont get dings in your car doors from other cars being parked so close to you and yes the other is the extra excercise... we dont get enough excercise in our days so I figure if I walk a little more that will help! happy mylotting.

thanks for the response. Thats a good reason. My hubby is kinda hot headed so if someone was to ding his car he would just go after them...lol, If it was up to me I would park farther away....since I dont drive...I am working on it but until I do I am doomed to park close tot he store!!!

I like to find a parking spot close to the store. I like exercise but I get enough when I am in the store shopping. I walk, reach, bend, and stoop to gather my items. I race with my daughter for the cash register (sprinting). I push the weight of the cart and items through the store and the parking lot. I really don't need more exercise added to this event.

LOLOLOL I guess I have never looked at it that way. We usually don't stay in there that long. Our big ones are the grocery stores.

If you have seen one Walmart you have seen them all, each store has the same merchandise, but different arrangements of the same. Therefor I always frequent the same store because I know where everything is located. The game everyone plays is to park as close to the entrance as possible. Nobody wants to walk, and will wait in the car until someone vacates a parking spot.

I usually choose one further out if it's just me, for the same reason a lil more exercise never hurt anyone and it's usually easier to leave as well. However if I have the kids with I usually park near the cart corral so I don't have far to get a cart nor return it as kids get heavy carrying them into the store when they don't understand the rules of a pedistrian in a parking lot KWIM?

Snugglebunnies I love your nic name. I would love to be able to change my nic to scotia bunny but unfortunatly I can not. How old are the kiddies. Our youngest is 3 so when we have her we park in the kids spot but she is getting old enough to walk with holding hands but sometimes likes to run ahead. Thanks for the response.

We always try to park closest to the store. My husband has trouble walking so its better for him to be close to the store. If I go by myself I dont care where I park.

Well there you go you have a reason...My hubby loves it when we take the kids cause there are kid spots...well for young children, we will have to stop using it soon cause our youngest is 3 so when she is about 4 I think we will have to stop. Thanks for the response
