Gas Prices

Does anyone out there besides me have a problem with Exxon making a 10 billion dollar, 2nd quarter profit. I beleive it's time that severe pressure be put on our congressmen, senetors and governor's to actually do something....maybe their job and get big business like Exxon down off their high horse. Just a thought but what would happen if they were only able to sell their gas for $1.50 a gal???? ANSWER....They would still make a 5 Billion dollar profit per quarter and we people might be able to live a little better off. So what do you think...think enough pressure might do something...get the ball rolling...we have to do something.

I don't like it too much. I will not buy from Exxon. I don't see any reason that they cannot lower gas prices and lose some PROFIT! I completely understand them wanting to make some profit but man are they ever greedy. I don't know how complicated the process is or how hard it is to do all the work it takes to get it from the ground and to our cars but it seems to me that they are doing alright if they are making an extra couple billion dollars. Gosh, lower it to $2.00 and they would still make insane money.

My husband would shoot me if I bought gas at Exxon. Were I live gas is still at a national high. 255 a gallon. Would be nice to see the prices drop were I live.

I think it is ridiculous how they brag about how much money they make at our expense. Obviously we are being overcharged for gas by them and other gas companies. Me and my friend knew that once the elections were over the gas prices were going to go back up. Something needs to be done about the gas prices otherwise nobody will be driving anywhere. Our paychecks should go up too if everything else is going up.

To Silverballer Don't you think 10 Billion in a quarter is a bit extreme or do you own share's of Exxon/Opeck. And just a FYI...1/5th of my yearly income goes for gas just to get to and from work, this don't count any other driving that might be required. I don't mind paying for gas but there is no reason that it cannot be brought back down to $2 a gal at the very least.
