I was more of the quiet art student in high school that did ok. There were many kids in the school about 3000 plus so many people didn't know me. Were you really popular in high school? What made you so popular... where you in clubs and sports or was your appearance obvious?

Everyone knows who I am in my high school, but I would not say I am popular like other people are. People do not have things against me, every one gets along with me basically, but I am only close friends with a few people in my school overall. I am not very active in extra curricular activities, like sports and clubs, I just basically mind my own business and get through my studies. I want to get into school and get out of it as fast as I can without complications and altercations haha. I can't wait until I graduate and get out of there permanently this June, it will be very liberating!

I agree that we need to focus on our studies rather than popularity.

I was quiet, shy and not at all popular. I had a very small group of friends and that was about all that was comfortable for me!

Yes me too, but I didn't even find a group that was really comfortable for me, which was fine for me.

When i was in High School. Its been a long time. I had a lot of different friends. I did not consider myself with the popular crowd, Did not participate in any sports. I guess that you could say that i hung around with the hippie crowd, Things were different back then in the 60's and early 70's. We never got into labels on people, we just accepted everyone for who they were.

I would say that I am inbetween. I'm fairly active in clubs and sports so I meet quite a bit of people. The only thing is that i'm pretty shy so I don't get to know a lot of them. I do a large group of close friends that i always hangout with and that it how i like it. I am in all the "nerdy" classes, so i have most of the same people in all my classes. This is why i may not be known by EVERYONE, but i have a lot of friends and that it just how i like it. I don't think that popularity is that big of a deal.

Haha, that's a good example. But I think good things don't need to be shown and flaunted and recognized and that in the heart everybody knows. Thanks for sharing and keep spreading the nice things!

I think mostly the looks make you the "celebrity" =D if you are really handsome/beautiful or very ugly, then everyone knows you and tells stories about you. I was not popular in high scghool and I liked that. I don't like to be the center of attetion.

Yes, appearance is probably the main factor. I enjoyed not being popular also.

Well i have to say that i made alot of friends in high school myself but then i had my older brother a grade ahead of me and that was fun i got alot of attention that way too. I was also a cheerleader and enjoyed that alot and of course they do alot around the school too i was also in clubs to help out and do things for the school. I loved my high school years there were always parties that were going on and i attended and it was alot of fun seeing what others did on the weekend and how crazy some people really are.
