Yakkk I hare cockroaches and would kill anyone that goes my way. And yes they have such a very long life span even after their head have been cut off. According to my research it is because they they not like mammals whose breathing is controlled by brain and have blood pressure. Cockroaches have no blood pressure unlike us and their breathing is not regulated by their brain. However although they still live for as long as a week sans the head they will eventually die of dehydration and starvation.

yeah, that's right. cockroaches do have great "nine lives". They can re-live even if you think you have killed them using insecticides. i hate cockraoches. Their smells sucks and they bring many diseases. I usually kill them using my sliippers. I'm not afraid to kill them.

I don't think it's true that cockroaches can live even for a day after their head is cut off. i know because i really hate those bugs and i don't miss An opportunity to step on a roach and grind my foot on its head. And believe you me, they don't live another day. Much less for one whose head is cut off. Speaking of weird, i don't know if this is weird but lizards whose tails are cut off can grow them back to the same length. I wish humans can do the same thing if a limb is cut off.
