Since with laptop you can go where ever you want it seems that is better to have laptop rather then ordinary pc. But on Laptop you can not put 3.4 Gh processor, 1024Mb Graphic card etc. So what is better and what pays better from these two models?

Well it is something like that in the other hand, couse computers are like this: Today you buy the most advanced and tomorrow there is a better one.

This is why I prefer desktops. With a laptop you can't esily upgrade any of your hardware to the new and better things. While in a desk top the interior is mostly the same making it easy to do upgrades.

I currently use a labtop and it is jsut fine for my computing needs. It is small and indeed porable but I use it as a mini desk top. I had a desk top computer before I got my labtop, I used my labtop as a back up comptuer and for other appications such as downloading picture from my digtal camera. the desk top I had did not have the right hardware for some appication. when I went from dail-up to DSL I could only use my labtop. so now my labtop as a mini desk top. I do like my laptop but in the future I would prefer a desk top. I do miss using a mouse as opsed to a touch pad. I miss typing on a seprate keyboard as well. also a desk top has so much more space in the hard drive, so more space for anything want you want to do. my labtop has only 60 gig of space and I am useing about half of it and it has a 1.6 gig processor so we are still taking slow here, I am not even sure if my labtop is copatable with faster conection speeds. my current speeed is about 700 kps or so. well my choice is a desk top.

I personally love my laptop. But, I love it for its portability and lack of space it needs. I can use it at a desk or while laying in bed. I only need it for working, internet and other basic stuff, so not having a massive processor or graphics card is fine for me. With the card and processor you mentioned it sounds like you might want it for gaming or something. Have you looked into the Alienware laptops? They are made with higher graphic cards and processors for gaming and such. They are more costy, but you get more. If you don't care for portability, you can save lots of money and just get a desktop PC for a lot less than the equivalent laptop.

If you are a Gamer then I suggest get a Standard PC then customize it to the specs you want, but if you are into Business then I suggest get a Laptop

I like to work at home where I have everything that I need. I do not work on the road so I don't really need a laptop. A desktop works fine for me. Cheers!!

i think desktops are good , as i am not in the need of laptops and i will be using the computer only when i come to my home and i can upgrade my desktop to any configuration , and also type the keys with any speed , but in laptops we may fear about using the keys there as they cannot be replaced , i dont need to charge my system like laptop , on the whole i prefer to work with desktop rather than with the laptop

If most of your activities requires a lot of memory, time, and energy, it is better to use a standard PC. You can store a lot of memory in it. The processors are a lot faster than laptop. And, it will not go low bat because it is always plug on an electrical circuit. But if your job deals with reports and presentation and you are always required to travel, a laptop can solve your problems just always bring your charger with you. LOL

I prefer to have both laptop and a standard pc for it will comes handy. From my opinion, if you are the type of always on the move, goes vacation and travel alot, then laptop is good for you. A laptop also has high end and low end, it depends on what you want to use it for? such as graphic design , web surfing only , office work and others. The ordinary or standard pc can be use for all things. it comes in handy if you want to use it for long hours such as surfing the web , doing some research and so on. Not forgetting if you are the type which always into gaming , then a standard pc is suitable for you.
