I'm using Off! lotion because i kind of having trouble with mosquitoes here. I notice warmness of the skin everytime i rub some of that stuff on my skin. Is it supposed to be that way? Warm?

I dont think it is supposed to do that. I normally get there sprays and I had no problem with it. You could have a skin reaction from it. You can always call the number on the bottle for questions or comments and you can ask them.

I've read on the bottle that it now has a cool feel on the skin. I suspect that their "cool feel" feature isn't effective.

either that or its just having a reaction to your skin.

Are you sure that it's you putting it on, and not some body else? Seriously, I haven't had a problem. Is it possible that you're allergic to one of the ingredients? Also to think about...you like in a warmer climate. Mosquito lotions contain oil, which might make you feel warmer.

What's a dryer sheet? Last night i wore shorts with pockets. Yeah, it's pretty warm here and yup, you're right, the lotions pretty much oily.

A dryer sheet is something you buy to put in a dryer with your clothes so that they don't get static while drying them. It's a form of fabric softener and sold where they sell laundry soap. It's a little sheet of lotion impregnated paper that's about 4 inches by 6 inches. I just read about using them the other day but haven't tried it yet. We don't get mosquitos until June of July usually.

Here'a another idea. If you wear a shirt with a pocket in it, try putting a dryer sheet in the pocket. I'm told that that keeps mosquitos away. If anyone asks, tell them it was left from the last time you washed your clothes...lol.

HI. I used off and I did not feel any warmness to my skin. My one friend of mine told me about this to keep mosquitoes, its Listerine mouth wash, you get a spay bottle and fill half up with listerine and half water, and you spray it on you. Well at first I thought ok, I am going to try it. To my suprise it worked good. The mosquitoes love me. It also keep the annoying little bugs away also. If you try this I hope it works for you also. I also had my daughters use it and my grandchildren and it worked also on them.

I would have to say no. I have never felt a warming sensation while using any sort of bug repellant. I would probably guess you may be having an allergic reaction to the type you are using, or your skin is sensative to that brand. You might switch brands to see if it happens with that one, and it could be a common ingredient which inflames your skin.

I've used off spray before but haven't noticed that it felt warm, I think I've rubbed it before and it has felt warm. Maybe you've rubbed it and thus warming it? I like the other responders answers, warmer climate and with oil being in it (which I did not know)...
