We live in an apartment building. I would like to have a home, but i think it will be a while before i can convince my husband we need to own our own home instead of paying what could be a morgage to other people..

Hi achinthya, Like you, I am also living in a rented house. We are also away from parents/in-laws and staying in the capital city. The rent is really high here and especially in our location. May be the place is a centered one and can reach to the main places easily. If we want to shift the place then son’s school is a problem, now it is nearby so we are staying the same place purposely. Moving to own house, it may be a dream, don’t know when it will happen.

I am staying in our own apartment. My husband and I bought the place after we got engaged and we moved in after we got married. I think it's good for married couples especially newly weds to have a place of their on be it a rented place or bought. So that they can run their own lives, the husband can take the role of being the head of the house and the wife can set up their home as she likes it. I am very thankful that we don't live with our parents and we run our own lives and also we had the means to get our own place....all by God's grace.

My Husband and I are renting an apartment and we also lived far from our family because of his work. We are currently living in the foreign country, the rent and the apartment is okay and it was in a good area where everything we might needed are very close. Hopefully we will have our own house when we get back to my Husband country that we can call it our home.

My husband and I have rented the house where we live. When we met I was living in an apartment, and after some time my husband moved in. The apartment was pretty small, so we started looking for a house instead. We wanted to buy a house in a village or a small town, and we looked at many, many different houses, but we never managed to find the right house. There was always something wrong with the houses that we saw, and we didn't have a enough money to pay for a renovation. After a while we decided to rent a house instead of buying one, and that is why we rented the house where we live now. We still hope to buy a house one day, we just have to find the right one.

After migrating to this city from my home town where I have my ancestral house I was staying in rented house for abut 11 years.During those eleven years I have shifted only once to a different rented house when my was pregnant since I found that she could not climb the stairs of the first rented house.I have been waiting for a long time to buy a home at a particular very good locality. Finally I made it five years back.It is one of the posh localities of this city and our chief minister is my neighbor too.I love my home and so exited about it.

Right now, I live with my step dad. My husband, daughter and I have the two upstairs bedrooms, and we split the rent. My grandpa owns the house that my step dad is renting. This situation is only temporary though. We'll be moving shortly.

It's depend on situation. If we are feel comfortable with our parent, we can live with them temporarily. I live with my parent because : I don't want to spend my money for renting a house I've plan to buy a house.

I am living in my parents' house so I can't say it's mine or rented as well. Still, I pay half of the bills. My mom covers some of the expenses. Still, I can't say my own house.

I live with my parents, they own a flat. I think it is the best for me at the moment, because I do not have a job or any income, and I could not afford living on my own.
