One of my best mylot friends was in town today, and I got to meet her! She is so real, people. She is exactly the same in real life as she is here. She's sweet, and funny, and goofy, and to top it all off, she is cute as a bug! I love her to death!
It probably won't take much for most of you to guess who it was, so I won't even ask if you can.*L*
I just wanted you all to know that she is a genuine, down to earth, country gal, and about as lovely a person as you would ever want to meet.
So, treasure her, and be nice to her, or I will hunt you down like a dawg and hurt you(heehee) because she is truly like one of my little sisters!

I think you can tell a lot about a person through mylot. that is so great that you got to meet in person!! i used to work for a home based e-commerce business. I would talk to people from all over the country and i built relationships with them over the phone. i always used to wonder what they looked like and stuff. that you got to meet someone is great!! there have been alot of people i have come across here that i would be glad to have over for dinner.

It's funny you should say that. I was just sitting here thinking that it might be fun to have her and her family over one night for dinner.
I have met several people from on line, but for the most part, after we met, we didn't stay in touch.

It's really heartwarming to met people all across the globe even if you just talk to them over the phone. The trust level depends with the tone of their voice. Most people need someone to listen.. Actually when you truly listen love is what you find.
Most people need someone like a confidante. It doesn't matter if you just hear them over the phone for as long as you build relationships ,you build lives.I like your point of view. It's practically fulfilling. keep it up.

maybe what i meant was that some people's personalities come through so strongly and you can tell that they are the kind of person that you would enjoy spending time with in the "real" world. i find a lot of comfort in the words and thoughts people here share. it reminds you of the "human" connection.

I have no idea who you speak of. Ofcourse I would be nice to her if I met her out and about. She sounds great! I have often thought that a bunch of us need to meet some where for a Mylot get together. Wouldn't that be a hoot?

I have no clue myself who it is, but that is soo cool! I went to England about 2 and a half years ago and met a bunch of my online friends from there, and to top that off I did it before any of my other friends. I was the first of us to meet most of those UKers in person! It was awesome and every single one of them was entirely genuine, exactly the same as on Skype! All of my American and Australian friends, mostly the Americans though, were bombarding me with questions about what they were like and I just had to say they were exactly like on Skype, except that it was much more fun because they were actually there. I could actually go up and give them a hug or whatever! I loved it!

I am so thrilled for you two. I have to say I'm also very envious. What I wouldn't do to be able to meet you and a handful of others very close to my heart. You two without a doubt should definately do this more often. Girlfriends are hard to come by and you live close to each other for a good reason. xoxoxo

Crazy Girls,
All of us meeting would be a thrill of a lifetime!! Irish, when we do meet, you are really going to need your depends... I'll bring an extra just in case. Bo, I have no doubt that I would feel like I've known you all as well. In this place that we call Mylot, our words bring out our real personalities unless we run into an imposter. For me, an imposter doesn't stand a chance.
It's people like you two and a few others that make this place worth coming back to everyday.

Hey Bo! You and Irish finally met face to face! Wow! That is
truly awesome! I heard the songs that you sang together and
they were incredible! You both sounded like you were in the
very same room and had rehearsed them forever! I have no
doubt that she was exactly as she seems to be here on the Lot!
She is definitely one person that I know meeting in person
would be the same as talking to her here and I am envious that
you two live close enough to actually have been able to meet!
The two of you seem like you would be great friends and
definitely sisters for sure! I wish I could meet you both

Wow what a lovely thing to meet a friend from MyLot. It must have been great meeting her. I can imagine what it must have been like. Well I can not guess who it is but whoever it is i feel really nice for you. i wish I too could meet up with some people from here. I was once writing in a site called mouthshut. we had formed a nice little group and i met up with two or three people from the group. We had such a great time together. It was really fun.

That's great that you got to meet a mylot friend in reality!
It's also nice to now that the person you have met is nice and sweet, and not the complete opposite of what they may act like online when talking to them.
There are lots of lovely mylot people!
Though I've never met one in reality.

Well, there are many people who are active in here I would Love to meet. I also have online Friends from Yahoo groups, etc. I would Love to meet as well. I feel that the Best you can be is be yourself online like you are in person, because there could be a day when you will meet someone and if you are anything different you'll tend to discourage and confuse them as well. Glad to hear you had such a wonderful time and wishing you many yrs. of Friendship from here.

oh that is sooo nice! i have never met a mylot friend in person. but well, that is good for you, at least you were able to extend your friendship to just more than being online buddies.
i dunno if ever i will be able to meet one. i have some friends here who joined mylot, but well, i have known them already. i have yet to meet someone that i only knew here.

It is great that you finally met someone from here. I don't know that I have made a friend close enough here that I would meet them in person. However, I feel that it is always important to know someone well before you meet them. It is a scary thing to meet someone that you have only talked to online. I am glad that the two of you got along so well.

I got up specially early because I've lain awake most of the night wondering how you two got on. Not that I am at all surprised that you can't stand each other now and that with nothing in common you just had a short time together before rushing off to do your shopping. Must have been awful, all that anticipation and then to not get on! Jealous? Me? You betcha! I'm so pleased that you had a fantastic time. I will expect a blow by blow account in due course!!
