I was just wondering that women wear mens' cloths all the time , be it suits, shirts, trousers , which were initially designed for men . But then why do they have there own exclusive range of dresses such as gowns and sarees in india, why cant men try them once in a while ? Has anybody tried wearing such dresses once in a while, tops , skirts etc, well my mother used to dress me sometimes like a girl when I was a child !!

LORL LORL I think it has something to do with a man's ego, but at the same time it has to do with our culture, If a man were to dress up in women's clothing it is a sign of weakness, Considered sad, but true. Personally depending on how its done, I think it can show a mental strength. It's easy to look brutish, but think of the mental (and occasionally physical) attack a man who decided to dress in women's clothing would have to endure (Especially if you could DEFINATELY still tell he was a man.) But Yeah, its mostly ego and defense. As for woman who dressed in men's clothing early on, It was usually a disguise, and wasn't socially allowed usually. later when women first started to emulate the men's style regularly (Mid 1800's to early 1900's especially) It was considered a sign of rebellion and independence and was a stepping stone to the women's rights movement. Still I think it would be INCREDIBLY funny to watch a man walk into Victoria's secret and ask for a fitting, That would make an EXTREMELY funny youtube video.

You tell that to every man and they would misunderstood you to be gay. Never would a man get dressed in saree or salwar or whatever women dress it is because they are defining their manhood. Man would dress as man would, and women would dress as women should. If you mix dressing up womens clothes on men, then my friend you have an issue of identity crisis. We are taught to dress properly right? if you still wonder till now why men don't wear womens clothing, you try to do that as a test outside and people will laugh at you. None the less you are gay and you pretend to dress like women should.

lol This is a funny question. Would you like to dress in woman's clothes and would you also go out wearing it? I think you will get the answer right there. I am a woman and I wouldn't like to see a guy wearing women's clothes :s Girls' clothes are well girly and it would make men look like a sissy or stupid. And I don't think they would feel comfortable either wearing it that is some of the clothes. Well, a skirt could be comfortable but men and skirts errrr!

Scots wear kilts? I hear they don't wear underwear underneath either...lol. The only guys that wear womens clothes in public are drag queens. That's probably why most men don't wear womens clothes in public, except if you wear a Scottish kilt. Of course, drag queens wear makeup and wigs etc. they really get to looking like a woman, some of them.
