designed and drawn (painted) by our own wonderful Bo! Some of you know her and some don't, I suppose, but let me tell you, she is a wonderful artist with a flair for drawing women, beautiful women, and I chose to join my gypsy sisters in celebrating her artwork by making one of her pieces of art, my avatar. And I love it. It's Bo's vision of myself and I'm so proud to know she thinks me so beautiful. As something of an artist myself, I so very much appreciate hand-done creations, whether painting, sculpture (my own medium) or whatever the case may be. Art comes in many forms and it's not always what we think it is, is it? I see beauty in so many everyday things, and especially in people, certainly in our Bo and I wanted to thank her for this beautiful gift. Is there anyone you'd like to thank for giving you something wonderful, something only they could have given you? Care to tell me about it?
p.s. I will go back to my old avatar at some point, only because it so vividly represents the Nova in me. But the one Bo made for me will be forever in my heart. And if she says it's ok, I'm going to have the picture printed and hung on my wall.

Some girl gave me a Dixon Ticonderoga number 2 pencil once...I always keep it in my pocket protector as a constant reminder that this person is an idiot.
On a serious note, who me? Serious? Once in a while... Anyway, my friend Henry once took a fifty dollar bill and tore it in half. He gave one half to me and took the other for himself. Upon doing so he declared that individually, we have nothing - but together we have a nice dinner, a couple of drinks, and good conversation.
Okay everybody, repeat after me...AWWWWWWWWWE!

Nova you must wear this dress (get one!) when you and I are dancing under my pines. I will wear mine (I'll get one!) and together we will pay not only the moon homage, but also our lovely and talented Bo, who is of course welcome to join us, and Irish too, and Royal..............and OMG, it's gonna be a party of dancing gypsy girls and for one night we'll all dance as if we were young and perfect (which we are in our hearts and minds!) and people will come from miles around to bask in our dance!

I think your avatar looks fab!!! I have never been one for being creative, the most I get close to art stuff is doing cross stitching. I have a friend who is on here and she is very creative, she loves making things. She makes jewellery and does paintings. She is very creative, she designs cards and clothes. I wish I was as creative as she is.....

Cinders, you ARE creative! We've all got SOMETHING within ourselves that is creative, whether or not we've found out yet what that thing is. You'll find yours. Give yourself time, and by all means, TRY stuff. Try things you think you can't possibly do. You might just surprise yourself. Really!

What a neat avatar... it is really pretty. I don't (can't) draw, but I am pretty decent with Illustrator and Photoshop. I keep wanting to add some of my graphic art to my profile (but I keep forgetting)! Right now I just use my photo as my avatar, but I do want to make something original to use instead.

I would love to see some of your work too, busibee. I'm sure you're much more talented than you think you are. And how will you know till you get some stuff out there for people to see. Don't be shy. Take a chance. I have a feeling the rewards will be great, busibee.

Hi, busibee. All of my more recent artwork has been done on my computer. I never considered graphic art until I started working with a friend who wanted some art work for his website. I played around with it for awhile, and decided I really like it.

I went to your profile so i could see your avatar better and it is very beautiful. I love it. The colors are my favorites and it shows so much freedom. I doubt she would say no to you wanting to print it. She has a big heart and probably takes enjoyment out of people loving her stuff.

Yes, isn't she beautiful, gurl? I love her! So expressive and yes, she DOES show a lot of freedom. I think she's perfect for me! Oh, and she said yes to my wanting to print her, which I knew she would. She DOES take enjoyment out of people loving her stuff, for sure. She's terrific. And sooooo talented!!!

aaaawwwww that is a lovely sentiment and lovely thoughts of the drawing. It brings a stronger life to her. A wonderful tribute to her. Maybe you can type that in on the picture that you frame. She is beautiful.
I too listen to music and dance around the house.
It's strange and wonderful that is something that we may not do as much as we use to but we have not lost that side of us.

I love it, moondancer! It's so free and seems to be dancing with abandon, spinning, joyous and completely unselfcounscious. There are certain songs that compel me to dance like that and I call it "Spin Dancing". I'm so blown away by the coincidence in the avatar, ya know? Weird. Wonderful.

I also received a graphic gift from Bo. I have also loaded it as my avatar as well as saving it on my computer. I also use it as an avatar on my profile on another site.
I love it. It is so free and whimsical. When we all post in one discussion, it looks like a band of gypsies dancing. Thanks again, Bo.
Novataylor, your new avatar is how I found you. I just had to know who the new gypsy was. So I went and checked out your profile and found this discussion. Hey, your skirt flies higher than mine. LOL

Ah, yes, my skirt does fly, doesn't it, Royal? I love it so much, this new avatar. Ya know, I intended to go back to my old one at some point, but I don't think I will now. I just truly love this one so much, and as I said above, to MsTickle, it so beautifully represents such a big part of who I am. That Bo has some psychic powers inside of herself, whether or not she knows it. And, I must say, I LOVE yours too! ANd I'm glad you found me. Thank you!!!!

Gah, I wouldn't have noticed this discussion if I didn't take a good enough look. Interesting avatar Nova. Quite dynamic and expressive.
I'm still using my character but finding more images of the character. I might switch up again, or maybe move to another character altogether.

Yes, isn't she, progamer? She's definitely dynamic and expressive. BohemianHeart made her for me, especially for me, and I'm tickled pink with what she's done here. She's so talented, and if you look around a bit, you'll see some other gypsies, all different, but all done by Bo. She tries to draw the person as she "sees" them and I think she's brilliant and hits the nail on the head every time.
Your avatar is great, progamer. If you ever find something that you feel suits you better, you'll change it, but why fix it if it ain't broke, eh?

Hi nova! I must say that Bo is an incredible artist! I am quite envious
of this particular piece of work! I love all of her drawings of
these gypsy women! I would love to have one of them for myself!
I wish that I was a member of this "sisterhood" too! I wouldn't
mind having this one hanging over my couch in my living room! I
have been searching for the perfect piece of art for that spot
for quite some time now and this one would be perfect! But, it is
yours and it does suit you so well! This woman is a free spirit
as I picture you are, my dear nova! I just love the way Bo has
captured this dancing gyspy in mid-dance! She truly has a gift!

I'm dancin as fast as I can, Irish and Bo! See me twirl? Ain't I purdy? Ya know, my mama called me a gypsy just recently when I was visiting because I wear so many friggin bracelets, and I must say, it rather tickled me. Especially since I knew I was going to change my avatar!
And Bo, thank you. I will have it printed on (an homage to Jeffela) well hung too. Of course!
Now. snap those finger bell thingies and dance, women, dance!!!!!!!

Nova my darling it is gorgeous - nearly as beautiful as I always envision you! There are so many people that I am grateful to for presents and thoughtfulness but too many to mention! I have to say there are several wonderful people here who have helped me more than theycould ever realise and I will never be able to repay them for what they have done for me! Love and Hugs xxxxx
