Do you ever walk around in bare feet?

As a child, I spent more time walking around in bare feet, than with shoes on - except for when I went to school of course! I very rarely do now, because my feet feel more sensitive and I am allergic to wasps, so I dare not. I really miss walking on grass in bare feet, it feels so nice. How about you?

Yes I like to walk around bare feet but I haven't done it much lately because it's been winter time outside in my neck of the woods. I'm looking forward to all sorts of activities that you can do in the summer though and that includes walking around barefoot. Here in my home town it's to cold to walk around bare feet inside of your house.

Well, i don`t know if you know about this sport, but when i was young i was playing foot tennis with my bare feet, and at the end, it was hurting me, because i kicked the ball so many times... but it was so nice, to run after the ball in bare feet. Sure, i was playing like that with an easy adversar. When we were playing in 2 in the same team, or when i had a better adversar, i was playing with my snikers . But i must say that i really like to win at that game, and there were just a few times when i lose. Now, i think that i`ll lose more, because there are 2 years since my last game. As walking around in bare feet, i can say that i love to do that. Now, i`m felling all that`s under my feet, but i really do that sometimes, in summer ... I even was in my bare feet when i was at the mountin, and i walked in bare feet on the country road, and it was quite nice..

I used to love walking on the road, but somehow the roads were cleaner, and of course there was a lot less traffic.

I never wear shoes if I can get out of it. Of course, when I go out in public I do wear shoes, but never around the house. My mother is the same way, so I guess I come by it honestly. I wear sandals for as many months as I can every year and hate it when it gets so cold I have to start wearing enclosed shoes. I don't go outside barefoot any more, though, because my feet aren't as tough as they were when I was a kid. If there was nice, thick green grass I'd probably still do it, though. Unfortunately, we have a new house and new grass, so nothing lush enough for barefoot walking. That is a joy!

Perhaps you could keep a patch of grass in the garden and let it grow long, just for putting your feet in!

When I was younger I really had no problems not wearing any shoes and walking around outside barefoot. However, I'm more apt to wear shoes more often when I go outside. I'm always cautious and worried about what I'll end up stepping on if I go outside without shoes on. Now, if I'm in the house or something I usually have no problem walking around without shoes on. That never bothers me unless the floor really needs vaccumed and I haven't had the chance to accomplish it yet and I'm afraid of stepping on something unpleasant.

Yes, I know what you mean. I think as we get older we are much more aware of the nasty things we might step on!

When I was young, my mom used to scold us when we went outside the house barefooted. There were times that we liked playing without any shoes nor slippers on. These days, however, I only walk around bare feet if I am at home.

I was the same way as a child. I can remember being able to run on the rocks without shoes on and never flinch. There's no way I could do that anymore! I wear shoes (or socks around the house) all of the time now. I just don't like the feeling of my feet getting dirty.

The same here, I used to walk with bare feet in childhood. I lived in a country side and walking with bare feet was normal. We had a big yard with soft grass, also I didn't avoid stoney roads. I have read that walking with bare feet is very good for a health, in our feet we have many nerves which response for other importnant parts of our body - back, head, neck.. by walking with bare feet these nerves get massaged stimulating each part of our body.

I'm sure it is very beneficial. Walking in high heels must be bad in the long-term if you think at the angle our backs are at.

I walk around bare foot all the time. I love it, I wear sandals or flip flips when I go out and about so if I wanna slip my shoes off I can. I guess my feet have become pretty tough over the years, because i can walk on rocks and everything and it doesn't really bother me. I do like the feel of cool grass, it's soft.

I love the feel of fresh spring grass, it always seems to be the softest.

It's a lovely feeling isn't it? Your feet do become sensitive from wearing shoes all the time. I envy you being able to walk about bare-foot like that.
