My male cat is a cranky cat. He is actually humorous though as he growls, spits and hisses at me. Is funny to hear him when he starts throwing his fits:) I have began calling him Mr. Cranky or My Cranky old Man. He is a very good cat as he does not typically get into any kinda kitty trouble, just don't you dare pet him unless he feels the timing to be appropriate. Sometimes he does laps around the house growling as he is racing from room to room. Does anybody else have a cat that is cranky?

I have a female silver tabby, who is a very affectionate cat, so long as she stays on her own paws. When one of us picks her up, she begins growling immediately. But that's not the worst. She has a very limited circle of humans she trusts and if anyone else even tries to touch her, she hisses, spits and tries to slap at them. Once we needed to take her to the vet to have her teeth cleaned and the vet we used at the time had this rule about admitting a cat for that kind of procedure the evening before. What happened with this cat, is, the next morning she got so agressive, the vet could not get her out of the cage. Eventually we had to take her, several months later to another vet, and first explain to them what they could expect from her. We didn't leave the vet's surgery until she was safely anaesthetisized. I think the problem with her is that, where most cats hide from things they are afraid of, this one turns into a feline version of Rambo.

My brother's cat is really cranky. He growls when I just walk near him. Then I was holding him and petting him and the whole time he just hissed and started to growl and my brother said he never did that before. My cat only growls when I pick her up and she doesn't want to be held.

My aunt's cat walks around the house "grumbling" sometimes. She'll do it for hours, and there's never anything specifically wrong. She's just cranky. She'll also yell at you when it's bedtime. At 11 o'clock, on the dot, she starts grumping and grousing at you. When you get in bed, she stays there to make sure you stay in bed until she thinks you're asleep! She also grumbles and complains at you if you move. It's hilarious, especially since if you get out of bed afterwards, she'll yell at you again!
